A DAY IN THE NEWS: YOU DIDN’T SEE ON MSNBC!

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the first of several cabinet officials scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill this week, admitted the government has “limited capability and expertise” in dealing with such disasters in very deep water.

Gee, this administration has limited capability and expertise in dealing with anything other than how to turn taxpayer dollars into personal pocket cash.

It remains a mystery how President Obama’s Aunt Zeituni’s legal team got the immigration judge to reverse himself on deportation, but the White House insists the president had nothing to do with it.  And I believe the White House!

Nice person or not, she broke the law; she defied a deportation order and continued to receive public assistance as an illegal alien.  This move sets precedent for allowing every illegal immigrant, whether here on expired visas or simply never bothered to get one, to remain in the country.  They can accept public housing subsidies, Welfare payments, Medicare, ROP training and education, transportation assistance, child care and myriad other entitlement programs.  A perfect first step toward Immigration Reform.

There was some rich irony at the White House today — President Obama signed the Press Freedom Act, and then promptly refused to take any questions.

The government is free to receive information about you.  You just can’t get any truth out of the government.  Next up: The Fairness Doctrine.

The notorious and formerly funny movie director Woody Allen is apparently frustrated with the cumbersome operations of American democracy too.

“I am pleased with Obama. I think he is brilliant. The Republican Party should get out of his way and stop trying to hurt him.”  “It would be good…if (Obama) could be dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly,” Allen said.

Aren’t we already there?  Doesn’t anybody believe in the checks and balances built into the Constitution any more?

Nancy Pelosi has suggested that aspiring musicians devote all their time to their perceived talent, giving up their “day jobs” that provide subsistence and health coverage.  Pelosi felt quite comfortable saying that the “taxpayers would fund their health care coverage”.

It’s like saying to the American public “let us make you the tired, the hungry and the huddled masses”.  Socialists want to control every aspect of our lives.  The more they can cause us to take from the benevolent government the more dependent upon them we will all become.  Of course, there will be some people trying to rise above others through hard work or by using their intelligence.  The government will tax them out of their goals and dreams or incorporate them as extension entities.

Obama State Dept. tells Communist China: AZ Immigration Law Is Indication of ‘Troubling Trend’ of ‘Discrimination’ in U.S.

Then Obama bowed and kissed the ring of Prime Minister Wen Jiabao.

Buried in the recently passed health-care reform bill is a new law granting one of the nation’s largest corporate lobbyists what it has been targeting for years: Death to its competition, and, consequently, a heavy blow to patient choice.

Section 6001 of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is responsible for Obamacare’s first casualties: a reported 60 physician-owned hospitals, which had promised to offer an innovative alternative to big, corporate and non-profit facilities, but under the new law are now “virtually destroyed,” according to advocates. Another 200-plus doctor-owned hospitals already in existence may soon be put out of business by the health-care reform law.

Your future health is in good hands!

Arizona’s illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers even more than once thought — a whopping $2.7 billion in 2009, according to researchers at the public interest group that helped write the state’s new immigration law.

President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley all derogate the Arizona immigration law.

Oops, just like the health care bill, none of them has read it!
