Can you say hypocrisy?  He isn’t the first president, just the most blatant when it comes to “Do as I say, not as I do”.  Each of the vacations he, and/or the first family takes costs more than fifty to a hundred average-wage four person families would earn in a year – if both parents were employed.

I don’t want to suggest that the First Family has to stay home at night and eat soup out of a can like much of the country.  However, my face is raw from being rubbed in the White House hypocrisy on spending.  And, I don’t find the President’s giddy laughter at it enchanting either.  It’s like water boarding for the masses.

Below are excerpts from two articles, picked up four days apart.

Obama on his embattled budget: Let’s talk, but….

Here’s the isolated president’s perception of how painfully the feds need to address their fiscal canyon: “If you’re a family trying to cut back, you might skip going out to dinner, you might put off a vacation.”

Michelle Obama Goes Skiing in Colorado

by Keith Koffler on February 19, 2011, 11:34 am

First Lady Michelle Obama is on “a private family trip” in Colorado where she is skiing with daughters Sasha and Malia, according to an administration official.

“The First Lady and several close friends are chaperoning their children on a ski trip,” the official told the press pool reporter who is following President Obama today.

Reports coming out of Colorado say she arrived Friday night and is staying at the Sebastian Hotel on Vail Mountain. Rooms start at $605 per night for a room with two queen beds and head north of $2,000 for multi-bedroom suites.

It was the union members, uninformed and ignorant people who voted for and elected a president and congress that so willingly obligated your money and my money for redistribution.  Now those people who sold the country down the river, don’t want to provide a plug for the leaky raft on which we float.

Hey listen folks, the redistribution of wealth hurts all those who have to some degree, even if they have just a little more than their neighbor.  To level a playing field, to fill in the holes, some filler must be taken from the mounds.  Little mounds and big mounds must be scraped to fill the divots.  America is starving and they, the government employees and other union members, are unwilling to lay down their forks or share the scraps on their plates.

From Wikipedia: Redistribution of wealth is the transfer of income, wealth or property from some individuals to others caused by a social mechanism such as taxation, monetary policies, welfare, nationalization, charity or tort law.[1] Most often, it refers to progressive redistribution, from the rich to the poor, although it may also refer to regressive redistribution, from the poor to the rich.[2] The desirability and effects of redistribution are actively debated on ethical and economic grounds.

It seems like the state workers and other union members in Wisconsin are unhappy because they are being required to participate in the process of wealth redistribution.  It was okay as long as just you and I that had to contribute, but now that they are involved, it’s a different story.

It also looks at this point as if Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan are soon to follow the lead.  Lining up in place right behind them are Texas, California, Illinois, New Jersey, and New York.  Please have your governor take a number and wait behind the yellow line.

Exempting the red state of Texas, the remaining states listed above are all blue and comprise 179 electoral votes.  Isn’t it odd that the residents of those states were instrumental in electing the borrow and spend, spend and borrow, tax and spend, spend and tax some more progressives that for too many years controlled those states and for two years comprised the majority of the legislative branch and controlled the executive branch of our federal government?

How could they not see they would also affect their own inflated wages, over-promised and under-funded pension plans and other entitlements?  Now they are whining that they are being hurt by the corrective measures required for all to survive the storm.  It’s only the inbred butt biting they deserve!

The gimme, gimme, gimme, greedy mentality has got to stop at some point.  It’s not all Wall Street.  The problems of today have been recognized and ignored for years.  The entitlement programs have been so misemployed over the decades that yesterday may have been the point of no return.  We have people “in service” to our country whose idleness does little other than draw down on the economy.  At the same time, we have brave men and women in uniform who are willing to, and do, give their lives for less “entitlement” than the elected elite consider their rightful expense reimbursements.

Blame Bush if you want to, but he and his crew did ¼ the economic damage to this country in 8 years that this administration has done in two.  Yet, the last ten years are still only the tip of a five decade iceberg.  Put on the life jackets and grab the rails, the seas are about to get very, very rough!

Only three days into his new job and Jay Carney is already avoiding questions and continuing to spread the deeply piled crap propaganda.

White House press secretary Jay Carney claims that the Recovery Act added several million jobs and lowered the unemployment rate. He stated that the “goals” of the stimulus package “have been met.” He offered no identification or explanation of what the “goals” were.  We can only surmise that at least one of the goals was to burn a boat load of money and let the American public sweep up the ashes.

When asked why the unemployment rate remains north of 9% Carney retorted, “We’ve said repeatedly that we don’t want to relitigate the battles of the past,” Carney told a reporter.

How can you relitigate a matter that has never even been discussed?  This may be his first faux pas because litigation is a judicial process.  There has never been a courtroom discussion of unemployment rates.

It may also be a diversion to keep the ignorant masses confused and purposefully misinformed.  Every time the question about unemployment numbers has been posed, the questioner is shut down with a statement ‘like the rate would be much higher without the stimulus’ or ‘this administration has saved or created 8 bazillion jobs’.

Stay abreast of his press briefings.  This guy could make Gibbs look like a straight talker by being more evasive than Obama Osama Bin Laden

Where and when will the political ignorance and insanity end?

Leon Panetta, CIA Director, commented yesterday that there was “a strong likelihood” Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak would step down by the day’s end.  The announcement was broadcast and rebroadcast throughout the day by virtually every news outlet.

The Patriot Act allows government officials to enter your home or mine, without a court ordered warrant, rifle our belongings to garner and remove any scrap of information that might concern anti-government activity or even sentiment.  However, the Director of the most powerful intelligence gathering agency in the known world got his information about this event, which will impact the entire political and economic structure of the globe…from a hopefully speculative article written in the main stream media.

Yeah, I feel safe now, don’t you?

Do as I say, not as I do!

Michelle Obama is making it harder and harder to enjoy an occasional yummy munchable at the local restaurant or fast food establishment.  Yet, she, her husband and guests are welcome to consume meals, rich to excessive, with cholesterol, fats, salt and starches.

We’ve all seen pictures of the president scarfing a Big Mac or giant juicy burger from a local independent entrepreneur.  We’ve heard of the White House Wednesday night concerts replete with sugary and fattening snacks and the lavish pizza dinners prepared by pizza chefs imported for the evening from distant cities.

The fare for the White House Super Bowl party reportedly included specialty lagers and ales brought in from around the country to wash down the Buffalo wings, pizza, cheeseburgers, bratwurst, kielbasa and grease laden chips and dips.

There is an extreme inconsistency between the lifestyle of the American President and family and the restrictions they impose on we commoners.  They are widening gap between the elite and those they are supposed to serve.
