So, apparently since 2005 due to an opinion by the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Council who, in a 29 page review, concluded that the President need not personally perform the physical act of affixing his signature to a bill he approves and decides to sign in order for the bill to become law.  Rather, the President may sign a bill within the meaning of Article I, Section 7 by directing a subordinate to affix the President’s signature to such a bill, for example by autopen.”

This is a conclusion made by the President’s lawyers (President Bush) circumventing the Constitution of the United States of America to allow a mechanical device to affix a likeness of the signature of the President to any document.  Whoa!  Shouldn’t that require a Constitutional Amendment rather than a decision made by an individual or body dependent on favorable legal interpolations for continued income?

Article 1, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution says:

“Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approves he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it…”

The Constitution doesn’t say that bills, Executive Orders, Executive Directives, administrative pay increases or the like can come to fruition without the President’s knowledge, which is the next step.  We are soon going to be governed by anybody with access to the official autopen.  “I authorize a $2 million expense account for myself.  Wait a minute; I can take care of that”.  “I think that since Mary and I are bumping loins regularly, she should have her pay doubled, I can take care of that”.

Using an autopen to sign hundreds of thousands of Christmas cards or acknowledge millions of letters with a prepared “Thank you for your concern” return missive seem like a legitimate uses of such a device.  Signing a bill into law without reading it, not so much.  We’re talking about an extension to the Patriot Act with additional provisions granting privacy invasions of citizens in the name of terrorist surveillance.  Shouldn’t that at least require some attention from our Chief Executive?

This President has already neutered Congress with his Executive Orders, Cabinet and Czar appointments, bureaucratic agency creations and other unworldly spending.  Now he, on the path of his predecessor, is opening the door to eliminating the need for a President.  Is this simply another step toward the demise of America as a sovereign nation and the creation of a “One World” or “Global” government?  It sure looks like it.

White House Adds New Position to Deal with Unfavorable Online Media

By Chris O’Shea on May 23, 2011 2:32 PM

“The White House has named Jesse Lee to a new position within its communications department titled Director of Progressive Media & Online Response. According to The Huffington Post, Lee will essentially be responsible for building up Obama’s online presence as he prepares for his reelection bid, and squashing any negative stories:

The post is a new one for this White House. Rapid response has usually been outsourced to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), if not done on an ad-hoc basis by administration officials.  And it signals that the White House will be adopting a more aggressive defense of the president and his policies as his re-election campaign gears up.”

I’m not real sure, but I have always been under the impression that politicians could not use a taxpayer paid office or taxpayer paid dollars to campaign.  Isn’t this exactly that?  It’s bad enough that our elected elite don’t work while they are applying for or interviewing for new or continued employment.  How long would your boss continue to pay you to research, apply and interview for a job with another company using his desk, phone, mail and computer?  Wouldn’t he / she be expecting you to do the job for which you were hired and receiving pay?

He created a position to do the campaigning and coercing the media to run favorable items and articles about him and that position is being paid out of my tax dollars.  He’s not only irritating the hell out of me by taking more and more of my money, now he’s using some of my own money to get re-elected and continue the outrage.

Obama just pee-pee whipped the Boston Herald for not promoting him.  Now he has hired a Czar to see to it that no unfavorable articles are written about him.  Can you say “1984”?

Some people still wonder why I call it Bizarro World, USA.

Two headlines slammed my eyes this morning when I opened the Drudge Report.  They were not juxtaposed, simply both available with a single scan of the page.

White House shuts out Herald scribe

I guess if you provide flowery, glowing coverage of the current administration and give them top billing you’re being honest but if you don’t you’re a biased, bigoted racist.

Why Is Soros Spending Over $48 Million Funding Media Organizations?

Marionette controller, Soros, is the major backer for everything Obama.  George Soros is also the sole key holder to the “investigative journalism” branch of the Huffington Post.  The Huffington Post is, if you recall, the designated source for news about what is happening in Washington, D.C. according to our President.

I have to wonder about the concerns of the forties and fifties regarding propaganda and the lies being fed to us as truth, to be believed by the citizens of the world.  The same loathsome crap is now catered to our kids and grand-kids in school.  They are under highly influential control for 5-7 hours per day.

Using Al Gore’s words, “Don’t listen to your parents.  There are some things about our world that you know that older people don’t know”.

Propaganda?  Indoctrination?  Media Control?  Mind Manipulation?  Brainwashing?  Call it what you will, it’s just not right.  Children should be educated, not indoctrinated.  Adults and children should have the opportunity to hear both or all sides to any scenario, not just one.  Eliminating dissenting opinion or opposing dialogue is destructive connivance and we must be aware of the vicious potential.

The Washington Times 6:00 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2011 By Wesley Pruden

The White House converted a picture-perfect military operation into a public-relations disaster that will be cited as what not to do and how not to do it in flackery textbooks for a hundred years.  Days after the raid on Osama bin Laden’s “mansion” they still can’t get the “fact pattern”, in the language of the White House, even close to straight.

Even that ubiquitous photograph of the president, the secretary of state and assorted minions bravely watching the operation in “real time” looks now to have been a “photo-op” taken after the fact.  This is the scene that the goofy John Brennan, the president’s anti-terrorism chief, described as one of unbearable tension endured heroically by the magnificent minions.  Hillary seemed to be clutching her throat, choking back terror as she watched the raid unfold, but now Leon Panetta, the chief of the CIA, reveals that 24 minutes of the 40-minute video were “blacked out” by some kind of electronic malfunction.  Maybe she was only wishing she had ordered pepperoni with extra cheese when the president sent out for pizza.

Obama has claimed, “There is no need to spike the football.  That’s not who we are.”  Yet, for the past ten days, he has been doing an endless End Zone Shuffle as he greedily solicits donor contributions.  He has been on every talk show TV has to offer (except, of course, FOXNews where he might actually be asked about the dance steps) bragging about how he, and he alone, caused the event to happen.  Occasionally, he is forced to acknowledge there were also others, in Pakistan, who participated in the operation.  This is done as an aside; an afterthought if you will.

The brave and dedicated members Seal Team 6 are now concerned about their anonymity and the safety of their families and loved ones.  The attention brought to the unit is not welcomed and could, in fact, jeopardize future operations of not only the Seal Teams, but all clandestine U.S. military forces.  Hey, way to go, Prez!

No body, no pictures, no complete electronic presentation of the mission.  A great campaign kickoff though.

Now all he has to do is declare our porous Southern border secure and that there is no fear of reprisal by terrorist organizations coming from the South.  Oh yeah, he just did that too.  No problem though.  The Border Patrol is able to capture and detain about one-in-four coming across the border.  Of that, they say that only about three percent come from countries of interest (Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen).

That’s between 1 and 3 potential bad guys per day that are able to make it into our major cities with the possibility of forming or joining terrorist cells.  No problem though, our Commander-in-Name-Only has said we’re safe.

He also said that spending trillions of dollars that the nation doesn’t have is the quickest way to build the economy and return prosperity to the nation.

It’s common knowledge that Cass Sunstein will do anything; create any situation in order to help Obama with both his plans and his poll ratings.  His wife, Samantha Power, has made it clear that she believes war is an acceptable way to accomplish political objectives.  We know that if anyone interferes with or dismisses any idea or policy of this administration or disrespects in any way the President or First Lady that they will forever be tagged racist and targeted.

Given what we know, can you think of a better time for this administration to cause an international news making incident?  Who got more media coverage over the past week, Obama or William and Kate?  Once again, who was intentionally left off the guest list for the royal wedding?

Do you think this was the only time to take down the #1 most sought enemy or just the most politically convenient time?
