The man who usurps authority, resoundingly rejects responsibility for himself or his appointees or their charges.  A good parachute will keep any of them from penning a tell-all book until he is well out of office.  He can then deny the truth and blame someone else for each derogatory depiction.

The spin given to, or created by the media, for covering damning stories is very easy to see beyond if one chooses to look beyond.  When the spinning stops or begins to wobble, “ongoing investigation” is the rallying cry of diversion.  After hearing this misdirection for a few weeks, even the most concerned citizens move on to other hot topics.

Brainwashing is the forcible exposure to only one side of a proposition, news event, or politically ideology, etc. until it becomes accepted as truth.  Self induced ignorance is choosing to expose your mind to only one possibility while resoundingly rejecting all others.  Willingly hearing only that which verifies one’s “inherent knowledge” reinforces continued lack of thought and brainwashes the ignorant.

Auto Bailout – Many believe, due to tightly controlled information dissemination, that without taxpayer monies going to GM and Chrysler that the American auto industry would be no more.  As well, because of selective and creative reporting, too many Americans believe that their money has been repaid with interest to the Treasury.

Mitt Romney was chastised for his remarks that the industry warranted a managed bankruptcy and restructuring bolstered by government backed loan guarantees.  Such a plan, he said, would enable the manufacturers the opportunity to rebuild a stronger base.

The reverse actually happened with taxpayer funds going securely to the unions, with little going to production facilities, before GM and Chrysler declared bankruptcy.  $34 billion was afforded to the two car companies under the guise of saving American jobs and corporate viability.  The distortions offered by the dump and bury press, asserted the bailout did exactly that.  However, a little deeper look shows quite the opposite.

Over 40,000 former American auto industry workers are now suckling from the government teat as recipients of unemployment insurance and/or Welfare through no want of their own.  Production line hourly wage employees as well as dealership owners and their employees are without their former jobs with many unable to find gainful employment.

GM, however, began building plants and hiring workers in Mexico, China, Asia, Brazil and other remote locations, primarily in underdeveloped countries with the money fronted them by American taxpayers.  The company is now thriving though it has repaid only a portion of the borrowed sum.  The U.S. Treasury is preparing to sell our (your and my) remaining preferred stock for a $13 billion loss in order to release the company from its repayment obligation.  But the President takes credit for the success of the bailout and the press remains silent.

Fast and Furious – In the wake of Fast and Furious, a couple of mid-level operatives slipped away under the cover of darkness, not to be seen or heard from again.  Their classified severance packages, I’m sure, hide any threatened legal action for honest testimony.  More information about the operation has come from knowledgeable anonymous sources within the Department of Justice, who the obvious repercussions of formal announcement, than has come from those in charge.

Eric Holder and the Department of Justice have classified much of the incriminating paperwork and correspondence, apparently, to keep it from becoming evidence of top level corruption.  Documents pertinent to the committee investigation are so heavily redacted that they are of no help.

The legendary rug now covers this dusty story without any proverbial rolling heads or resolution.  Overshadowed by delays, diversions, other unnecessary killings and natural disasters, it is now all but forgotten.  Resolution is assumed by the general public due to an intentional lack of adequate investigative reporting.  History is being rewritten as I write this piece.

Benghazi – First, a story about a low budget, Internet film that few people ever watched became the excuse to override the lack of security or support for American personnel in hostile territory.  Devised at the highest levels of government and pushed by department heads, ambassadors and peripheral personnel on highly view talk shows, more people came to believe there is no hatred of America or Americans, just a profound dislike of blasphemy against Mohammad.

The incident happened on Sept. 11, only two months before the presidential election.  Since the President had so often loudly proclaimed that the killing of Bin Laden on his watch virtually disbanded Al Queda, acknowledging the murderous zealots as major participants would only present a conflict of lies.

The President was so concerned about the killing of three Americans, he continued his begging for dollars tour in Las Vegas hours after the incident.  The media covered the fund raisers with favorable light.

Once again, two Defense Department parking attendants and a clerk for the State Department were dismissed in hopes that the problem would go away.  Unavailable with global appointments since the incident and now suffering from a month long headache, the Secretary of State will testify before a congressional committee after she leaves office and attention to the matter is redirected.  Expect little profit from the prepared testimony, but a grand Ooh-Rah from MSNBC.

This President, over the past four years has offered this country nothing other than finger pointing, misdirection, redirection, cover-ups, nepotism, donor payback through taxpayer funds and massive indebtedness.

With three-quarters of the voting public exposing themselves to only half (or less) of the political information available, is there really a question how this man was re-elected?  Bury your head and this is what you get.  Unfortunately, many suffer the consequences of the ill informed.

Buckle up and hope we now have four more years of only the same.  It appears times are  destined to get worse.  But, if anything is covered by the MSM, it will be reported as “recovery”.

Obama has taken credit for the demise of Osama Bin Laden.  Of course, any President is the final authority for all good and bad, but the way he and his team are treating this act you’d think that Obama himself single-handedly took out Bin Laden with a dull and bent P-38.  The nightly liars and pens for the bird cage liners, of course, only help advance the myth.

Vice President Joe Biden, referring to President Barack Obama’s decision to kill Osama bin Laden said, “You can go back 500 years.  You cannot find a more audacious plan”.

First, we must understand that the decision was not Obama’s!  In conjunction with the CIA and informants, the team commander identified the long sought target.  The SEAL team planned the mission and were anxiously ready to complete it long before anybody in Washington D.C was informed.  Only because Bin Laden was such a high value target did the operation get the attention of the president.

Second, Obama vacillated for over 16 hours before committing his political image and allowing the Navy SEALS to do the job for which they so vigorously train.  This is a man who has to assemble a five member support group each morning to help him decide whether to tie his shoes right-over-left or left-over-right.  As State Senator in Illinois, he voted present over 130 times because he didn’t want to be publicly viewed as taking a  pro or con stand.

Third, the U.S. Navy SEALS perform high-impact covert missions around the globe on a regular basis.  Taking out Osama Bin Laden was little more than a regular work day for this team.  This is what they do!  The operation should not be a campaign credit for the president.  This was just one of thousands of missions carried out since the formation of the SEALS starting with Team 1 in 1962.  Most get no attention due to the extreme sensitivity of the operations.

Obama has demeaned and divided the American people.  He causes blacks to blame and hate whites for their troubles because of skin color.  He pits the have-less and have-naughts against achievers.  He goads youth to blame elderly for their respective statures hoping that the young will not have awareness that they, too, will age.  He has destroyed this country in less than four years and he is seeking anything positive to mask that fact so he can be re-elected and effect the complete demise of our nation.  His goal is to eliminate our sovereignty in favor of rule by a global governing system.

He can’t bellow the virtues of his Stimulus Plan because it didn’t stimulate anything other than DNC and Obama campaign donors.

Wall Street bailout – Helped the “C” level bosses (the reviled 1 %) retain their bonuses for failing their companies and their investors.

Mortgage bailout – Helped the “C” level bosses (1%) of both banks and pseudo-government agencies retain their bonuses.  More former homeowners are living in their cars or in shelters now than ever before.

Auto bailouts – Helped the UAW bosses (1%) retain their bonuses while American taxpayers bought the medical and retirement benefits for the union workers before GM and Chrysler declared bankruptcy.

Green energy companies receiving grants and tax-payer backed loans have a greater failure rate than success.  Billions of dollars have been wasted on solar companies, green auto development, battery research, wind farms etc. with virtually no repayment or beneficial return other than campaign donations.

Obama can’t tout the benefits of Cash-for-Clunkers because it did nothing other than boost the two-month auto sales figures which then crashed for the following six months.  The program cost non-purchasing tax-payers approximately $24,000 per unit sold.

Health care reform – doctors are concerned that it will take twice as long to pay for their education because of government capped fees and services.  Seniors are justly scared of the ramifications and younger people are beginning to see and fear their heath care future.

Employment – even by manipulating the figures presented, there are fewer people working and more on Welfare than ever before.  Among those who are still working, or working once again, many are only working part-time because employers can avoid paying health insurance which is rising and will skyrocket after 2014.

While raving about how he eliminated the threat of Bin Laden, Obama continues to blame every one of the country’s ills on the virus known as George W. Bush.  That virus is not covered under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

General Motors Chairman and CEO, Dan Akerson, has agreed to meet with the Congressional panel that is set to investigate the government’s investigation into fire risks in the Chevrolet Volt.  That’s right the government is investigating a government investigation into a company that is 61% owned by the government.

I’m certain it will be an arm’s length investigation investigation.  The arm used may be a short-arm, but that’s what we’ve been getting since January 21, 2009.

And, as an extra added bonus, the man testifying before the committee was installed as the CEO of General Motors by the very same government that is investigating the investigation of the green project into which billions of government monies were invested.

Here’s the lineage of inbred progress for his takeover.  In July 2009, shortly after Obama became President, Akerson, as a representative of the U.S. Treasury under the tax challenged Timothy Geithner, was appointed to the board of directors of GM.  Akerson’s experience qualifying him for the position was in the communications industry. He was, however, a close friend and large donor to Obama.  In 2010, he became CEO when Ed Whitaker was summarily dismissed by the primary stock holder (the U.S. government) and he assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors early last year.

Obama wants to make every aspect of every industry a monochromatic green, at any cost.  He refuses to allow an estimated 22,000 people employment on the Keystone XL project.  Instead, he is willing to allow those jobs and that petroleum and  much needed by-products to be shipped to China for refining and sale.  He has “invested” hundreds of billions (if not untold trillions) of borrowed American taxpayer dollars in solar companies that have failed miserably after receiving the money.  He “invested” our dollars in Finland with (Fisker Automotive), a company making an all electric automobile that only 2% of the American public can afford to purchase.  At least at this point, Fisker seems to be a viable company.

I, for one, am looking forward to hearing the forthright testimony of Mr. Akerson.  I’m sure we’ll find out that the blazing Volts were a product of faulty wiring schematics produced by the G.W. Bush administration simply to make Obama look bad.

There will be no dancing around the truth like with A.G. Eric Holder, Rahm Emanuel, Janet Napolitano or Solyndra’s CEO Brian Harrison or CFO Bill Stover when they appear before Congress.

Any questions why I call this Bizarro World, USA?

President Clinton was not and is not always wrong.  Now that he’s been out of political office for over a decade, he might be starting to see the light.  In a recent gathering, he threw out the notion that our corporate tax rate is “uncompetitive”.  However, he wanted a reasonable lowering of that rate to be in conjunction with a rise in the debt ceiling.  He’s half right, here.  The corporate tax rate should be lowered; loop holes plugged and let the corporations flourish.

Many people will remember 90s and his tenure in office.  The first few years of the decade were slow recovery from an economic down turn.  Then prosperity returned.  Jobs were available and those who chose to work could and did.  Credit card companies were willing to raise limits for people with some assurance of being repaid.

As individuals spent more and more on things they wanted, but truly didn’t need in many cases, Bank of America, Citi, Sears and others would allow them to spend more and only make a $10, $15 or sometimes as much as $30 payment.  As long as the minimum payment was met, the ten thousand dollars owed was forgotten and they could borrow more.  Then there was another hiccup in the economy.  Interest rates rose causing minimum payments to also increase.  People became aware that they could no longer afford their mortgage, car and boat payment and put out $400-$600 a month in minimum payment obligations.

Thanks to the bankruptcy laws, many people were able to get out from under their self-created madness.  The courts would simply wipe away the contracts and obligations into which consumers had entered.  Great for the consumer, bad for the creditors.  Many of the financial institutions that awarded credit to companies and consumers declared bankruptcy, some were taken over by larger or more stable competitors and yet some got bailouts from the government.  People no longer make their mortgage payment to Countrywide; they don’t exist.  That payment is now made to Bank of America, the new master.  That is, if the home hasn’t been foreclosed.

Congress and the current administration are displaying the same greed and idiocy that consumers showed not so long ago.  They are continuing to spend and asking for the credit limit to be raised.  They won’t part with the political boat or big screen.  In fact, they want to replace the boat with a bigger, faster and shinier yacht even though it sits at the dock 90% of the time.  What the heck, it’s your money that’s paying for it, raise the ceiling and they’ll continue spending.

We keep borrowing from countries that would like to see the U.S. default.  Are you ready to meet your new master?

From the National Journal:

If President Obama’s news conference accomplished anything on Wednesday afternoon, it underscored, in striking tones, his strategy for winning the debt ceiling fight with Republicans: Make it a clash of classes.

  • Rich versus Poor.
  • Us versus Them.
  • Those who support children, food safety, medical research and, presumably, puppies and apple pie versus the rich fat cats who don’t.

Hang on gang; it’s going to get rough.

He’s already tried the “racist” thing.  It may have actually worked for a while.  He won’t let that go because it’s being echoed by every liberal in America.  You know.  If you don’t agree with his policies; his appointing Czars and creating major bureaucracies or his spending your money to bail out his friends and donors or throwing lavish dinners and concerts in the White House with famous rock star and Hollywood celebrities to entertain his daughters or creating a health care debacle that will force you to buy something you may not want or need or his spending more time golfing and vacationing at your expense than he spends on the business of the country, it’s only because you’re an ignorant, hateful, gun-toting, bible-thumping racist.

He’s already tried blaming Bush for everything.  (I think he even tried to blame Bush for the devastation caused to Japan by a tsunami.)  He said he would reverse everything done in the previous eight years yet really doesn’t have a clue about what was done or how to undo it.  Nevertheless, that too, worked for a while.  Now, even the DNC Chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz, admits the economy that’s in the tank and getting worse, is his.  He won’t, and she’s undoubtedly in severe trouble for saying it, even if he does think she’s cute.

Now, it seems, he’s going to try to pit Americans against Americans, baiting us with rich vs. poor and again black vs. white and white vs. Hispanics and kids vs. adults as well as liberals vs. conservatives.  It seems he’ll try anything short of jumping up and down shaking his fists and yelling “My way, it’s got to be my way”!  (I’m personally not convinced that he doesn’t do that behind closed doors.)

He cannot justify his policies or his arguments…any of them, so he has to point fingers, call names, blame others and create chaos.  The country is on fire; men, women and children are fighting and killing one another out of frustration and fear.

If only he had a fiddle!  I guess in the 21st century a set of golf clubs will have to suffice.
