Theft or chaos?

Over the past six months or so, I have noticed an increase in stories about theft of items, primarily metal, with salvage value.  That is almost understandable given the state of the economy and so many people doing whatever it takes to eek subsistence.

Recently those stories have turned to such things as storm drain grates, manhole covers, sidewalk trash can holders, etc.  These items are heavy, bulky and have very little salvage value so the question becomes, “Why are these items being removed from their proper placements”.

One theory might be that the thefts are simply a part of a greater plan.  That plan might be the creation of chaos and the downfall of government, aka anarchy.  In order to effect “fundamental transformation” of this country, there must first be a need, a reason for that transformation to be accepted.  Anarchy creates chaos and chaos drives anarchy.  Disruption, disorganization and crises are overcome through new laws, regulations and restrictions on personal freedoms; the first steps to complete societal control and subservience to the D.C. elite.

The President and his administration seem to be following this plan of chaos and crisis, perhaps as some suspect even organizing and fueling it   Tremendous spending to produce little to no benefit adds to the frenzy.  He has shut down the petroleum industry in the Gulf of Mexico, turning hundreds of thousands of people to the government for survival sustenance.  His recently empowered EPA and regulatory Czars have enacted or proposed over 4,500 new business restricting fees and reporting requirements affecting businesses large and small.  They are designed for no purpose other than to give greater governmental control over us.

The current administration appears to seek chaos and anger amongst the citizens with an end goal of rioting, controlled only by force and pain to prove their power and worthiness.

Trash can holders

Sewer / man hole covers

Electrical wiring

Air conditioners

Storm drain grates

Brass plaques from monuments

Fruits and vegetables – Oranges, Avocados, tomatoes, grapes, bees

Medical supplies and equipment from ambulances and emergency rooms

Bronze vases from cemeteries

Copper wire and air conditioning coils from Gilda’s Club, a cancer support center.

Tires and rims from cars parked in commuter lots.

Catalytic converters from cars

Copper grounding plates from cell towers

Flash mobs, organized more for intimidation of store clerks than the merchandise stolen, are receiving encouragement from anarchists.  Some are participating unwittingly for the sheer excitement of the moment.   They are duped to perform a purpose they don’t even comprehend.

Reportedly, the identity cloaked organizers are friends and/or associates of the President.  Many say with certainty that he knows them well and may even be spearheading the movement.  If this is true, it lends well to the overall picture presented by this administration, one of power, control and subservience.  The path of reigning terror, the questioning of personal safety combined with expanding regulatory control over individuals and confiscation of our personal defense weaponry leads only to tyranny.

Are you ready for the promised change?

Once America was considered a powerful military might that rogue countries thought twice about engaging.  Today we are “a farce of weakened clout”.  The latest round of Koran (Quran) v. Mosque tells me that there is no longer any respect for our leadership.

If we try to delay or delete the Mosque that is scheduled to be built within shouting distance of Ground Zero, it will excite Muslims around the world: it will be used as a recruiting tool and Christians of the world will suffer many horrible deaths.  If an idle brained pastor holds a Koran burning ceremony on the 9th anniversary of the greatest attack on Americans on American soil in our history, it will excite Muslims around the world: it will be used as a recruiting tool and Christians of the world will suffer many horrible deaths.  If we initiate contact on the battle field Muslims will use the aggression as a recruiting tool and Christians of the world will suffer many horrible deaths.

America, bow and show respect to your enemies.  Americans of all faiths and religions are to stand down and allow Muslims to have their way or Muslims around the globe will use the resistance as a recruiting tool and Christians of the world will suffer many horrible deaths.  We have become America the Cowardly.

Just as our government has made many U.S. citizens dependent upon it for life support, nations around the world also expect us to step in with support when they are threatened.  Unfortunately, while we send troops to help, they no longer have the ability to end the threat.  They can only timidly defend themselves against the threat.  I mean no dishonor to the troops who are valiant and worthy of any opponent.  They are now throttled by political correctness and intimidation of potential violence escalation.

There is no excuse for Pastor Terry Jones seizing media attention through an outrageously insolent act.  He should be, and has been, condemned by every clear-thinking human in the United States.  However, we should not allow the religion of peace to intimidate through use of deadly force and dictate what we say and how we say it.  If there is any way possible that radical Muslims can profess to be offended by our words or actions, they will cause violent death to Americans and/or Christians in retaliation.  They seek the opportunity to declare indignation.  So we are tolerant of the radical element of their religion because if we are not we might be killed.

The idiot Islamic jihadists will kill as many Americans and Christians around the globe as humanly possible just because they can.  The only question is, “When will they try”.  Showing weakness will only bring them sooner and stronger as they eliminate a fallen prey.

The signing of Arizona’s newest law brings with it a lot of controversy.  Some Hispanics are saying they fear being stopped by police simply because of their skin color.  One 19 year old U.S. citizen is afraid he’ll be arrested anyway if police see him driving around with friends and relatives, some of them illegal immigrants.  That is exactly why the law was drawn and passed!  Knowingly transporting illegal immigrants is currently against the law; it is just not being enforced.  This AZ law will give local police authority to enforce laws currently on the books.  How can that be wrong?

If legal aliens and citizens would help law enforcement rather than encouraging unlawful entry by friends and family members, there might not be need for such regulation.  Instead, they embolden others to ignore laws, break into this country and force legislators to pressure police into becoming more pro-active on the job and administer the law they are sworn to uphold.

So you think profiling is wrong; that it disadvantages a particular sector of our society?  Well my friend, whether black, white, Asian, Hispanic, felon, frequent flyer or GM product buyer, you’re being profiled right now – as you read this dispatch.  Somewhere, someone is identifying your personal habits and preferences.

Every time you open an Internet site or click on an ad or read an email; every time you use your Von’s, Best Buy or Pep Boys discount or rewards card or make a purchase with your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, J.C. Penney’s or Nordstrom or Chevron credit card, someone is recording that information for future use.  Where you live, what you drive, how many and what type of firearms you have registered is information available for use against you.  Driver license encoding allows electronic access to historical information about you and your family.  Medical data bases log prescriptions and frequency of refills as well as ailments, broken bones, teeth cleanings, vision acuity, etc.

Profiling is not just a racial, ethnic or religious undertaking.  Profiling has been done for decades by marketing companies.  They want to identify what you buy so they can sell you more of the same or similar products and services.  Until recently, information gathering has been done for specific purposes; sometimes for sale to others with specific marketing plans and needs.

It is now being done in earnest by our governmental agencies.  Mining the data banks that have been built for specific purposes is one reason for the growth of our overlords.  More people are being hired to hack single-purpose and collective databases such as AOL and Google and Yahoo, for information that can be used against a person, family or company.  You don’t have to be in the country illegally.  You don’t have to be a terrorist.  You can simply be one who served in the military in a combat zone or someone who attended or attends Tea Parties to be profiled as a potential insurrectionist or subversive by a government that has grown so large, so powerful and so anti-American that everyone at the top is paranoid.

The gun toting, bomb setting anarchists of the 60s and 70s (the Weathermen, the Black Panther Party, Symbionese Liberation Army and other Obama mentors and associates) were apparently nothing compared to the Tea Party movement of today.  Today we are cautioned against our own military veterans, moms with babies and those with walkers and wheel chairs who carry signs showing disenchantment.  It is therefore necessary that the federal government have all the information possible about them (us).  It is important for the IRS or perhaps the Civilian National Security Force in case they have to keep knowledgeable, law-abiding and peaceably assembled patriotic citizens in line.

Arizona’s new law does not condone racial or ethnic profiling.  In fact, before enforcing it, all police must undergo training to avoid such conduct while being diligent at their job.

Profiling?  Yes, it does exist and will continue to happen.  Only those with something to hide or those who have committed or want to commit a crime or those who want smaller government or those who want and expect privacy have anything to worry about though.

Okay, I can understand the reluctance of some people to agree with Arizona’s new immigration law.  It undeniably enforces the federal law using local and state enforcement agencies.  However, existing laws were written to be enforced.  If federal agents can’t or won’t follow through on the federal government’s own laws leaving them to be upheld at the local level, and they are, is that a bad thing for the local enforcement agencies?

Analogy: Convenience stores, gas stations and other small cash businesses generally are robbery targets.  If these types of businesses in a particular locale were robbed two or three times and each time by a man or men between 18 and 35 with tattoos on their foreheads wearing hooded sweatshirts and driving a small dark foreign made car, wouldn’t the police have the right to question young men on the street wearing hooded sweatshirts with tattoos on their foreheads and ranging in age between 18 and 35?  Or, like the TSA, should they also stop granny driving her pastel pink 1952 Hudson because they don’t want to be caught stereotyping potential suspects?

If profiling is okay when it comes to littering my mail box with advertisements for things I couldn’t care less about, then it should be okay to keep me safe from lawbreakers.  However, this law doesn’t provide for indiscriminate profiling.

Back in the 60s and 70s, I read quite a bit of science fiction.  I read books like “1984” and “Fahrenheit 451” and thought such things could never happen.  For the past fifteen to twenty years, though, I have recognized the naiveté and ignorance of my youth.

We are, as a society, allowing a few people to command our lives.  Different groups, sects and affiliations are changing what the founding fathers had in mind for the United States of America.  They are demanding that we cater to their individual and specific wants and desires without regard for the total or “GLOBAL” effect.  Others are causing us to look the other way as they steal the brownies from our lunch sacks.

“Never let a serious crisis go to waste…it’s an opportunity to do things you couldn’t do before.”  Rahm Emanuel – 2009

That quote was a follow-up, an enhancement, to President Obama’s own words referencing the financial industry situation.  Barack had referred to the banking and Wall Street melt downs as a crisis.  The word crisis was repeatedly used to move TARP legislation ($700 billion) through Congress at lightening speed before anyone was aware.  Crisis was used to justify the immediacy of the Stimulus (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) that has worked out so well.  There was no crisis that couldn’t have been overcome through the free market system for either spending excuse.  Those situations were identified as a crises for, and only for, the purpose of generating the financial collapse of America.  Control baby, control!

For decades the government has been taking more and more of our freedoms, liberties and dollars away to retain and augment control over our lives.  I believe that in an effort to continue this masquerade and the near future enslavement of the entire population, many other crises will be developed.  It was once a small worry that someone might burglarize your empty home or shop.  Then the criminals became bolder and moved from unoccupied spaces to home invasions, street-side robberies and car jackings.  Now the reasoned alerts, expectations and fears include identity theft, phishing, and computer information loss.

These potential personal and business privacy invasions have allowed entrepreneurs to start flourishing businesses in security, safety and personal comfort.  Not long ago there was no need for such businesses as Life Lock, I.D. Watchdog, Identity Theft Labs, Trusted I.D. or Identity Guard that assure the safety of your personal credit information.  Likewise, companies like Carbonite, E Vault, I Drive, Barracuda Networks and Mozy guaranty the safety of your electronic files and documents.

I am probably one of the biggest proponents of small business.  I appreciate entrepreneurship and ingenuity.  I applaud the pioneering of the businesses listed above.  The forward thinking minds have recognized needs of today and acted to fill the voids.  They deserve the opportunity to flourish and make money.  But…

But what if the information is accessed and used by criminals or the government (redundancy acknowledged) or other persons under service contract to a clandestine federal department?  How safe and secure would you be then?  We know that the federal government has asked Yahoo and Google for selected individuals’ personal internet surfing information, which was somewhat reluctantly forwarded.  We know that hackers have accessed accounts, and suspect it has even been at the behest of the Executive branch, both current and past, either covertly or directly or through one of the alphabet monikered agencies under the Department of Homeland Security.   Much of the info sought and gathered is questionably of any interest to national security other than deemed so by those persons concerned or fearful about their own positions or re-election potential.  The data and information garnered is however, for the most part, available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act.  It is either readily available or made available after a reasonable period.

One of Obama’s most recent Executive Orders amends (read: reverses) the intent of Executive Order #12425, signed by Ronald Regan in 1983.  E.O. #12425 awarded Interpol the ability to conduct investigations of individuals and international crime organizations on American soil.  It allowed the international organization many of the privileges granted to diplomats, but intentionally and specifically excluded the wording:

“Property and assets of international organizations, wherever located and by whomsoever held, shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable.”

President Obama has now included the above passage for Interpol giving them powers that exceed our own home grown FBI.  He has eliminated any sovereignty vested in citizens and the United States of America.  Interpol may now conduct investigations within the United States and is accountable only to Interpol.  The organization does not have to respond to requests or subpoenas for information under the Freedom of Information Act as do our own investigatory agencies.  They can even extract information from subjects in ways that Congress deems “torture” without having to answer to any American body.

As an aside, Interpol can now harbor and secure any and all documents relating to the birth and/or citizenship of our current president and any future president and his/her appointees from the prying eyes of the public.

With the inclusion of those two sentences, President Obama has jeopardized the integrity of the previously listed private companies.  They have instantly and unwittingly become data and information repositories with easy and legal access by Interpol.  Using the words of Al Gore in his failed attempt to justify his own immoral and ethically bereft behavior, there is no longer a “controlling legal authority”.

Once it was only possible to obtain all this information by accessing your home or work P.C., Blackberry etc., the credit reporting bureaus (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax) and multiple other and varied sources.  Interpol can now access your (and thousands of others’) social security number(s), personal information and purchase history from a single source. They can also go to a second repository and gather your Internet surfing history, email and any and all documents you might have created or stored on your computer if you are using any of these “information protection” or off site data backup warehouses.  It’s just a click away and they don’t have to tell you or anybody that it has been done or for what purpose.

The identity theft companies guaranty your losses up to $1 million.  At the rate this president is bankrupting our country and the small businesses within via his and Congress’ insane taxes and policies, it could well mean ruin for these entrepreneurs when they attempt to make good on their guarantees as the financial information of millions of people is leaked, or sold to the highest bidder.  Obama has, with a few strokes of his pen, eliminated any accountability for Interpol.  It will be considered another ‘crisis’ when it happens, but somehow George W. Bush will be blamed because Obama accepts no responsibility.

“There is no controlling legal authority that says this was in violation of law”.  Al Gore March 7, 1997

Feel safe and secure now?

November 26, 2009

So, let me see if I get this correctly.  We cannot interrogate subversives and terrorists when we have them in custody.  We cannot gain any intel from those who want to kill us.  Putting women’s panties on the head of a captured terrorist is considered torture and our men and women in uniform must be prosecuted, stripped of rank and incarcerated for the act.

The Border Patrol cannot protect themselves against illegal aliens who are trying to kill them.  The military cannot protect themselves against terrorists who want to kill them because there might be civilians in the area.  Police officers cannot draw their weapons when threatened.

America, once the most respected country in the world, is now the laughing stock of every nation and group that wishes to do us harm.    And we are allowing ourselves the opportunity to be hurt.  Our enemies are using the political correctness of our government against us.  The more we let them, the stronger they are and the weaker we become.  They laugh at us; we try to “make nice” with them causing them to only laugh even harder.

Most recently, three Navy SEALS captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq.  Ahmed Hashim Abed masterminded the mutilation and hanging of security guards in Fallujah.  He was captured and told military investigators that his captors punched him.  Nobody witnessed the brutality that allegedly took place after he was confined, but Abed had a bloody lip so the SEALS, who should be commended for doing their job, will instead be court-martialed.  Abed might have done it himself knowing how timid we are now.

Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean (U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents) were sentenced to 11 and 12 years for doing their job.  They did their job; they went to jail.  The smuggler was granted a border pass and allowed to come and go at will until he was finally arrested for another drug smuggling operation.

Police officers are shot and killed in the line of duty daily because they hesitate to pull their weapons for fear of losing their jobs or their freedom.

Our government is prosecuting its own defenders in order to appease our enemies and outlaws.  The people we elect keep stealing our money for their own foolish self-aggrandizement.  CAIR continues to receive tax-exempt donations that they forward to Hezbollah, Hamas and Al Qaeda.  Our Constitution has been declared unconstitutional and the President of the United States still hasn’t identified himself.  How long can we honestly expect this nation last?
