There was no massacre at Fort Hood.  What took place on November 9, 2009 was simply “workplace violence” as deemed by the administration in Washington D.C.  It could have been a co-worker punching another in the arm.  The 13 dead and 29 wounded are guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  They simply shouldn’t have been in the presence of an identified Jihadist who could not be relieved of his commission because of his Muslim heritage.

A child with head down, speaking softly to him or herself or humming a gospel tune during lunch or recess receives a three day suspension for praying on school grounds.  A note is archived in their permanent record for reference in case of any future disruptions.

A manager brings his secretary flowers and mentions her hair color is very becoming.  She complains of sexual harassment and receives a five figure settlement while the boss spends ten hours attending unpaid sensitivity training.

You can buy a health insurance policy that will cover Viagra, condoms or abortion but will not cover a needed knee replacement or carpal tunnel syndrome.

A parent or guardian must sign a comprehensive liability release so that a male child can have a complete health exam prior to try-outs for the soccer or football team.  No such requirement, or even mandated parental notification, is necessary for a school to send a 12-year-old girl to a doctor for an abortion.

A belligerent activist who is removed from a town hall meeting for his disruptive action files a seven figure lawsuit naming the police, city, private venue owners, host and presenter for racism because his ethnic background is not represented in the event.

Houses of worship acquiesce to the removal of nativity scenes because they present a view different from, and unwelcome by, the two local atheists.

A disabled war hero loses a lawsuit for displaying a flag in front of his home on Memorial Day.  The exposition is considered overly patriotic and offensive to people not born in this country.

Men and women who “believe themselves” to be of a sexual orientation other than their apparent gender may use the toilet facilities of their choosing at public events, libraries, parks and other municipal buildings.

Black Panthers can intimidate voters at the polling booth by displaying “nightstick” clubs in a threatening manner without repercussion but handing out political flyers down the block will net the perpetrator a day in jail and fine.

Burning a Bible is acceptable, but accidentally dropping a Koran is disrespectful and warrants severe punishment.  The ACLU will fight, and often win, cases of religious persecution tried by liberal judges.

Bankers, brokers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac threaten bankruptcy and receive billions of dollars by obligating productive workers and their families to multi-generational debt.  Meanwhile the “C” level executives of those companies and organizations take home multi-million dollar bonuses for doing a stellar job of leading.

Congress makes laws for the citizens from which they exempt themselves during and after their elected service.  Insider trading, health care, tax exemptions, reimbursable expenses and retirement are just a few of the myriad exclusions.

Can I be the only one who sees this once great nation overwhelmingly and rapidly becoming the world of BIZARRO?

With the country weakened and divided, now is the time to attack.  This time, however, the attack is not coming from planes smashing into financial icons.  This time it is not bombs, artillery, IEDs, rockets, mortars or even small projectiles that we have to fear.  This time, our very own government is doing us under.  The Washington power brokers have weakened us to the point of attack.  The elected and appointed officials have, and are continuing to, implode the systems of the U.S.

The President, through his appointed like-minded sycophants, is circumventing congress.  He/they foist rules, regulations and restrictions on our freedoms and liberties with tyrannical orientation.  The EPA alone has enacted so many business repressive regulations that there is no longer any question why our economic mainstay is basing overseas.

It is difficult to understand how throttling carbon emissions within the boundaries of the United States, forcing production of goods to third world countries is helpful to the global environment.  Countries with uncontrolled emissions and standards are most certainly able to manufacture at an apparently reduced cost.  The true cost to the air, water and food supply is much greater in the long run than is the plastic output.

The only plausible explanation is an agenda for global wealth redistribution and a desire for all but a chosen few to become destitute and beholden subjects.  If that is it, the plan is working well.

Once a nation of reasoned and reasonable laws, followed and enforced, we have become one of unmanaged laws, rules, regulations, restrictions, codes and edicts.  The freedoms and liberties awarded to citizens of the United States eroded, in some cases beyond recognition, by activist judges and an overzealous politicians catering to themselves instead of their constituents must be restored.  Enforcement is now at the will of a few with punishment determined and meted with political considerations always in mind.

Equality of application is no more.  In too many cases, law enforcement officers are prohibited from doing the job for which they were hired for political expediency.  Police and other agents fear for their lives and resist drawing their weapons even in defense because of a disrespectful and anti-enforcement judicial system that treats them more harshly than the criminals they  apprehend.

On the campaign trail, Barack Obama has stated a goal of fundamentally transforming the country.  Michelle said, “Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation”.  Conversations:  Liberals have taken to more anger, spewing more vehemence and hatred for every person and thing not Socialist in nature.  Traditions: Since that time, Christian holidays have been averted by the White House.  History:  Barack espoused, “We are a nation of Muslims.  In his Cairo speech he said, “I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”  A different place as a nation: A once proud nation is now ridiculed by the world due to a President who apologizes for our accomplishments, changes our history and traditions. Sacrifices:  Well, that seems to be playing only 9 holes during a national or international crisis.

Postal Service proposes cutting 120,000 jobs, pulling out of health-care plan

By , Published: August 11

SEATTLE — The financially strapped U.S. Postal Service is proposing to cut its workforce by 20 percent and to withdraw from the federal health and retirement plans because it believes it could provide benefits at a lower cost.

At least one pseudo-government agency gets it!  After floundering for years they’ve realized that they can’t continue raising rates and to do a mediocre job; that imperial benefits on top of inflated wages created an over-priced service with diminished value used by fewer and fewer people.  The Postmaster General has concluded that Obamacare will do them under for sure and they simply cannot continue spending more than they take in expecting greater subsidies from the American taxpayer to cover the difference.

Because they cannot outsource their service to a third world country to remain viable, the U.S. Postal Service is forced to make some major cutbacks.   Hmmm, can you say “unions”?

Will the President and his administration get the picture, or did they create it?  Is this just another benchmark in their plan to destroy the nation?

Raising the debt ceiling is a question that should have been answered decades ago.  It should not be a constant and ongoing battle every six months, two years or even every decade or two.  Raising the debt ceiling is like opening a jar of pickles.  Getting the first pickle is a fight.  After the first one is out of the jar, it becomes easier and easier to get more until the jar is empty.  As I see it, we are at the bottom of the jar now and the grocery store is closed.  The sandwich will have to be made without the crispness and snappy taste that we have taken for granted.

As the government grows, so does the bureaucratic waste.  The higher the debt ceiling is raised, the higher it will have to be raised.  Congress is like a spoiled teenager to whom parents have given a credit card.  The child never has concern for the bill because daddy pulls out the checkbook each month and takes care of the carelessness of the last four weeks.

I want it.  I want it.  If I can get a $600 million grant for the Tree Sitting Duck Watchers of America, to study why ducks waddle, I will surely be reelected.  I’ll promote it as an environmental issue and dupe the idiots.  Then we’ll just raise taxes on those idiots.

If we are to have any fiscal responsibility, we have to hold government bureaucracies accountable for the monies they are awarded.  We don’t need new oversight agencies or more IRS agents to find the faults after the fact, we have too many now.  That’s a major portion of the problem.  It is necessary for the agency heads, the Directors and Secretaries to take charge and account for their budgets or have their budgets slashed by the amount spent that is not directly related to the agency’s purpose.  If the money cannot be adequately accounted, everyone responsible should be caused to seek employment in the public sector.

*Built into every appropriation bill there is a minimum 10% shrinkage factor.  Congress expects and plans for theft, mismanagement and sloppiness.  They recognize and accept that there will be inept oversight of funds.

You may ask why I’m being so harsh at a critical time.  You would be half right in asking that question.  The better question might be, “Why hasn’t someone gotten mad about the unrestrained spending of our governments before this?”  Note: the plural of government is used to include state, county, and city government entities.

It took me less than three minutes – yes, less than three minutes on the Internet to find the following wastefulness of our federal government.  Just think what might be found by a competent researcher in a week or month.  The list below is from various sources, including sites.  The money is unaccounted, yet the following fiscal years’ budgets were not adjusted downward for the mismanagement.  Without exception, the following years’ budgets were increased.

D.O.D. – FY 2000                                           $1.1Trillion

H.U.D. – FY 1999                                         $59.6 Billion

Pentagon – FY 1998-2007                                 $4 Trillion

Iraq  alone– Pallets loaded with greenbacks have gone missing

before they could be disbursed.  Estimated total  $12 Billion

D.H.H.S. – FY 1999                                      $18.9 Billion

C.I.A. FY 2002                                             $2.3 Trillion

T.A.R.P.                                                        $78 Billion

Stimulus                                                    $169 Million

If that short list doesn’t frost your patootie and cause you to see why we have such a horrendous debt, it should show that our elected and appointed officials don’t care about spending within our means.

One more!  The G.A.O. (Government Accountability Office; the agency responsible for identifying the propriety and accounting the expenditures of the federal government), could not account for $1.3 Billion of their own budgets between FY 2002 and FY 2008.  Still, bonuses were awarded and COLAs were given to the directors and key people of each agency above for their good work and sound fiscal oversight.

The economy isn’t working for we peons, so the First lady is taking the family on an “official visit to emerging democracies”.  Some might consider it a summer vacation for family and friends of the President.  Obviously, they would be racist for suggesting that.
The good news is that because it’s been tagged as an “official visit” we, the peons, get to pay for it.
And they want to tax the rich, HA!

WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama will honor the legacy of Nelson Mandela and the struggle against apartheid during an official visit to southern Africa next week.
For her second solo international trip, the first lady has scheduled stops in South Africa and Botswana, two growing democracies, where she’ll continue her work encouraging young people to get involved in national affairs. She’ll also promote education, health and wellness.
The previously announced June 20-26 trip begins Monday in Johannesburg. Mrs. Obama will also stop in Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa before moving on to Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. The trip ends with a private family safari at a South African game reserve before the return to Washington on June 27.
She will be accompanied by her daughters Malia and Sasha, her mother, Marian Robinson, and her niece and nephew, Leslie and Avery Robinson.
White House officials said Wednesday that the trip will help advance the administration’s agenda in Africa.
Mrs. Obama will spend most of her time in South Africa. She is scheduled to meet with Mandela’s wife, Graca Machel, tour the Nelson Mandela Foundation, where his papers are stored, and visit the Apartheid Museum, which tells the story of the rise and fall of the now-abolished system of white-minority rule.
The first lady also plans a ferry ride to Robben Island, where Mandela spent 18 of the 27 years he was imprisoned for fighting apartheid.
Mrs. Obama will also meet with Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma, the wife of South African President Jacob Zuma, and with Botswana’s president, Ian Khama.
