WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT EVEN INVOLVED IN HEALTH INSURANCE?

June 24, 2017

The easy answer is because the socialists within our government want to control everything you ever worked for. Starting small, they managed in 2010 to conquer 1/6 our economic freedom to advance their agenda.

Unlike the First Law of Thermodynamics (“neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed”), government entitlement programs can be created, they just cannot be destroyed once implemented. Government programs become indestructible foundation as soon as they are established and there is no destroying them. They can only be built upon. Even studies like “Why Ducks Waddle On Land and Swim Gracefully In Water” or “How to Extend the Life Expectancy of Fireflies for Our Children’s Evening Pleasure” are refunded and extended though no conclusion is found as a 2 year, eight million dollar grant ends with an exhausted budget.

The socialist Democrats of the 111th Congress, saddled the citizens of the United States with an untenable health insurance mandate that now cannot be destroyed. Though the costs to most people is exorbitant, it became an entitlement for some. To take an entitlement away once the slobbering, slurping few have become dependent on it is an impossible task. There are now people caught in the middle who won’t take jobs or accept advancement and a pay raise because doing so could cause adjustment in the premiums required to maintain their health insurance plan.

Before the PPACA was enacted, everybody had access to doctors and other health professionals. The elderly had, and have, Medicare (paid from funds the government sucked out of their paychecks when they were working). Medicaid was, and is, provided for those who cannot afford insurance and it is virtually impossible to find a case where a doctor refused treatment for a sick or injured person.

The rest must have jobs, pay for the health insurance program but cannot afford to take advantage of the service or care offered. The premiums deplete their otherwise disposable income to the point they cannot afford the deductible required to access a doctor. Think about that! Some people are less healthy because the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is not affordable and provides less timely care than was available prior to its inception. But the federal government is now in control of an entire industry and an additional 16.67% of our GDP.

Even with the help of a majority party in both houses, the new administration is struggling to find a way of actually providing patient care with reasonable and affordable insurance premiums and deductibles. They can’t do it. No matter how hard or what they try, someone will cry foul. Then it will cause an uprising and national attention. Somebody might risk re-election.  They, the powers that be, now control one-sixth of the national economy and rather than helping the majority of premium payers, they’ve managed to make the citizens sick…or sicker at least.

Once again our elected officials have inserted themselves where there is no place for them. Doctors, Physician Assistants, insurers and hospital administrators – those actually involved in the health insurance and care industries – should devise a, or some, workable plan(s). When the knowledgeable professionals agree, a presentation to the lawmaking bodies would be in order. This might keep elite but ignorant lawyers, politicians and other bureaucrats from dictating submissiveness to an infeasible program. *Been there, done that!

Even starting with what we had in 2008 – private insurance companies providing health care insurance – and improving on it seems a more practical and logical way of accomplishing a universal health care goal than “Here’s a plan. Confiscate a bunch of money from those who have a few bucks. Keep a large chunk of it (call it administration fees) and throw the rest into a fund to foolishly try and make an infeasible and unwanted plan work. When it doesn’t we’ll just make the people pay more and more until it does.

Thanks to those who mandated compliance with their deceitful schemes, overall public health today is worse than it was just a decade ago. Hospital administrators, doctors and insurers decline participation in the current government system (PPACA) because of the mandates put upon them (program guidelines, restrictions, regulations, taxes, pharmaceutical purchases and pricing, compliance protocols, recording and reporting, etc.). The low and slow reimbursement for their services doesn’t energize their enthusiasm for the program either.

Due primarily to the guidelines of the PPACA (aka Obamacare), many counties across the country have no facilities or physicians available to participate in the plan. This effectively leaves the public wanting for any plan providers within twenty to fifty miles from home.  Yet they are still forced to pay exorbitant sums for insurance.  Without traveling distances, some are forced to pay additional sums for service outside of the plan.

A transition from what is now decreed to be free choice in health care might be accomplished by releasing the people from the government bonds. Allowing states to set up funds to help with excess costs and preexisting conditions could keep costs down for all insureds. This simply means congress must write a law repealing the joke that is strangling those in need of care.

COMIN’ AND GOIN’

February 3, 2015

Congratulations and thank you to all the (primarily) young and all the ignorant people who voted for Obama due to the promise of free universal health care. Ya done bin had agin by yur own pre-programmed guilt and lack o’ inteligents!

It’s becoming more and more apparent that the Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable and it does little to provide care. In fact, due to the act, it is now very difficult for many people to get any health care. Some of those who believe they are insured are still finding that they are not…in spite of having paid premiums for 9-10 months now. Others claim that they cannot find a doctor that will treat them under the plan within 75 to 100 miles of their home. Yet others, say that they avoid going to the doctor because they cannot afford the copay required to meet their annual deductible after paying hundreds of dollars per month in premiums.

Just to round things out, it’s tax season and time to man up (or woman up) to the IRS. The same IRS that unreasonably and illegally wasted their budget and manpower harassing citizens complying with the laws, needs your dollars to continue doing their dastardly deeds. And, they intend to collect it.

If you accepted a premium tax credit to help pay for your health insurance, you may have been over credited. Even if healthcare.gov figured the credit – you owe the difference by April 15. Perhaps you were unemployed or underemployed and that status changed for the positive, you may owe the IRS. Maybe, because you didn’t pay a tax attorney hundreds or thousands of dollars to help you figure out the plan and premium you needed to keep you out of trouble, you chose the wrong one. You may now owe the IRS.

If, because you’re young and healthy, you opted not to participate in an “acceptable” health care plan, you could owe up to 1% of your total household income. Perhaps you didn’t work, but your wife or husband did. Let’s say you have one child and that, after taxes, the family income was in excess of $50,000. Ya gotta pony up. Forget about rent, food and mundane stuff like that. Your first obligation is now to the IRS. You voted for it, now it’s got you.

It is, and always was, about the government taking from those who have some.  The government needs it to cover waste and ineptness. Even the very poor might be caught in this web of lies and deceit. Some of you received exemptions that were not to be or you didn’t use Medicaid when it was available to you. Or, there isn’t a doctor who accepts Medicaid payment available in your state or nearby area. Your Welfare, unemployment, or SNAP may be reduced until the overage is reclaimed.

At any rate, it’s now time to hire a good CPA to figure your taxes. It could save you from the fines and interest charged by the IRS for non-compliance. It could keep you out of handcuffs and a FEMA camp. Thanks to the ACA, the services of tax attorneys and CPAs are now affordable. NOT!

The good news for today is that the hundreds of thousands of “newcomers” invading our country over the past couple of years are covered.  And, as an extra added bonus, they don’t have to file tax returns!

TAKE A PILL, BE WELL

March 12, 2013

There’s a new wave of illnesses on the horizon according to the CDC.  These antibiotic resistant diseases could take us back to the days of consumption, whooping cough, measles, mumps, and polio.  Why, you may ask?  The simple answer is because of unrestrained use of synthetic pharmaceuticals and other lab produced chemical combinations.

As a society, we have become dependent on drug manufacturers and prescription writers (aka doctors) to make us feel better while we endure illness.  Some of those illnesses attacking the brain as well as trunk organs and skin (MRSA) are treated chemically and some of the mitigating lab-combined  chemicals produce other maladies.  Though the side effects can be more detrimental than the original ailment, there is generally another pill, ointment, vaccine, or elixir to counter the negative reactions.

The antibiotics fed to farm animals and the toxins sprayed on our fruits and vegetables or their genetically altered seeds ultimately affect our well being as we consume them.  Even organically raised animals and vegetation is impacted by the chemicals introduced into the atmosphere daily by Dow and Monsanto.

Many of the very medications offered for our health are manufactured in the less than sterile environs of developing countries to overcome cost concerns.  Molds, fungi, E coli, Klebsiella, and salmonella are not uncommon in the clean rooms and other areas of the labs.  Some are made under the same conditions in the United States.  All are supposedly under the watchful eye of the FDA.  Money, however, tends to blur the vision of the agency.  In spite of their desire to control the world of pharmaceutically managed health, the FDA often overlooks the very harmful effects and side effects of new medications.

The FDA, itself, does no testing of its own.  They accept the biased studies of the drug companies until reactions from users indicate otherwise.  In other words, we the public are the true testers.  The FDA website http://www.fda.gov/drugs/developmentapprovalprocess/howdrugsaredevelopedandapproved/default.htm   offers the following:

“The mission of FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) is to ensure that drugs marketed in this country are safe and effective.  CDER does not test drugs, although the Center’s Office of Testing and Research does conduct limited research in the areas of drug quality, safety, and effectiveness.”

“Some companies submit a new drug application (NDA) to introduce a new drug product into the U.S. Market.  It is the responsibility of the company seeking to market a drug to test it and submit evidence that it is safe and effective.  A team of CDER physicians, statisticians, chemists, pharmacologists, and other scientists reviews the sponsor’s NDA containing the data and proposed labeling.”

The new ‘superbugs’ will proliferate around the globe.  Population control may no longer be a concern for our world leaders.  Some may even welcome the help.

Now, about that itching…

TRASHING TRICARE

Obama to cut healthcare benefits for active duty and retired US military

The Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched. The proposal is causing a major rift within the Pentagon, according to U.S. officials. Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacare’s state-run insurance exchanges.

This was a lead story this morning.  Obummer is definitely out to ruin this country and disrespect the job our troops do protecting the country.

Government employees, elected, appointed and hired are all overpaid while our military (those who actually serve the country) and their families are often destitute.  And he wants them to pay more for injuries and maladies incurred while offering their lives in defense of freedom?  He wants to take away their “entitlements”?  These benefits are bought and paid for with an offer of sacrifice, they are not gimme-gimmes!

He already tried to make veterans financially responsible for their VA care.  Then tried to shove off the costs of battlefield injuries to their private insurance companies.

Let’s get rid of this insanity A.S.A.P.  Clean house, and Senate, and White House in November.  It wouldn’t hurt to also look at a few U.S. Constitution trashing activist judges also.

Let’s start restoring America.  The “fundamental change” (blacks against whites, poor against rich, government against the people) is making us into a third world dictatorship.

FOLLOW THE LEADER

February 9, 2012

Former Democratic congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper, a Catholic from Erie, Pennsylvania, cast a crucial vote in favor of Obamacare in 2010.  She lost her seat that November in part because of her controversial support of Obamacare.  But Dahlkemper said recently that she would have never voted for the health care bill had she known that the Department of Health and Human Services would require all private insurers, including Catholic charities and hospitals, to provide free coverage of contraception, sterilization procedures, and the “week-after” pill “ella” that can induce early abortions.

She went on to say, “I would have never voted for the final version of the bill if I expected the Obama Administration to force Catholic hospitals and Catholic Colleges and Universities to pay for contraception.”

Like the mindless sheep they are, Democrat congressmen and congresswomen blindly followed their leader.  It was what the party wanted.  It was what the President needed.  It was so important there was no reason to read it.  “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it…”  Nancy Pelosi –May 10 2010

Well Kathy, you should have done the job for which you were elected and paid.  You should have read the bill to know just what you were endorsing.  Perhaps you’d still have a job and the country would be much better off.
