Here’s how Obama and the radical Dems accomplish his goals.  Youth employment is up in D.C. this summer before the election.  High school drop out rate is down in the same area during the same period.

“The District is paying 305 students with poor academic and behavioral records to attend summer school, The Washington Examiner has learned.

The rising ninth-graders are earning $5.25 an hour to participate in the “Summer Bridge” program, which targets students identified by D.C. Public Schools as less likely than their peers to graduate high school within four years.”

Examining this article with a critical eye we see that students, paid to attend classes that they are almost guaranteed to pass just by showing up, receive a degree that has no meaning because there is no education behind it.  The school and the summer “work” program being paid by the few remaining taxpayers of the country.

The underlying theme teaches that it is possible to receive money from the government for doing what should come naturally.  Hey, that’s a prelude into receiving Welfare and having more babies if they aren’t already.  They graduate expecting to get a job that pays a handsome wage for punching in on time and staying for the entire shift because that’s the training received from the public education system.

If it doesn’t work out to their liking, they can demand unemployment benefits (if they lasted on the job long enough) or Welfare.  If both of those scams fail, they can always claim that they were injured on the job (mental, emotional or physical distress caused by being expected to produce) and draw disability insurance.

It’s the way of the future – take taxpayer money for laziness or incompetence and complain that someone else got rich by working hard.  Ah, life in the 21st century under radical redistributionists.

BTW, the federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr.  Is this youth exploitation?  Is this turning us into a country like China, Indonesia or Pakistan?

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help myself when I read that 22 percent of California’s eighth-graders tested on a national science test passed, ranking the Golden State 47th in the nation.

The state’s public educated students did, however, receive the highest (98.72%) score on gender identity and transgender mobility.

Students, both male and female, showed inordinate skill and ability opening and applying school provided condoms on fellow classmates while blindfolded.

They received ranked #2 in tree hugging.

Math and English were in the bottom 2 percentile for the 48 continental states (that would be 56 according to our current President).

Selected study groups collaborated for up to ten minutes over a map of the United States before identifying what they believed to be the state of Utah.

They also made it into the top 10 with ecological and environmental awareness, tempered only by their love of cigarettes.

Intolerance for any views other than their own won them a rating of super-liberal.

Awareness of what their life will be under a global socialist government and Sharia law ranked at the bottom of the barrel.

How does the government spend your tax dollars to educate your child?  I have blogged over and over that more money could be spent on the political and social indoctrination education of our kids if it weren’t for the multiple levels of administration.

I swear I could not make this stuff up if I wanted to.  An article from L.A. Times online revealed the truth for all to see.  “One of the largest elementary schools in the nation, Miramonte has about 1,500 students and a teaching and administrative staff of about 150”.

Given that the maximum allowable class size is 30 students per teacher, this reveals to me that the school might be somewhat admin heavy.  By dividing the 1,500 students by the maximum allowable class size requires 50 teachers.  And, given the article states there are about “150 teaching and administrative staff”, that breaks down to about 100 school overlords.

Any private enterprise that had two managers for every worker bee would either be: (a) illegal or (b) in business for about a week, or both.

It is imperative to soak the rich for more of their earned money to fund more of these highly efficient government programs.

SOTU 1-24-2012

January 25, 2012

Multiple witnesses to any event will see the same situation entirely different.  We will tend to interject our own views and perceptions to make the situation more real and accommodating to our inherent beliefs.  We will selectively see and hear what we want and what agrees with what we already know.

Pundits viewing last night’s SOTU address from the left heard the hope for change that they wanted to believe this President is capable of effecting.  Those from the right heard more lies and purposefully misleading statements causing them to believe the speech was little more than a televised campaign stump speech.

I watched the presentation and couldn’t help laughing nervously as I heard the truth, lies, and interpolated facts offered.  President Obama said that he was going to make government more efficient; shortly thereafter he noted the need for creating a new bureaucracy called the Trade Enforcement Agency.  He offered to centralize unemployment with a government run website.  He offered to consolidate federal bureaucracies with a “new unit”.  (I heard that to mean more employees for another inefficient federal bureaucracy like Homeland Security…but that’s just me).

He said in order to restore American superiority in science and technology, we may have to offer incentives to foreigners.  He made no mention of returning the current school system from the social, ecological and political indoctrination centers they have become to facilities for teaching science, math, world and U.S. geography and history.

To be sure the indoctrination has a firm hold, he suggested a bill to make all public education draftees stay under the influence of the government until they graduate or turn eighteen.  Combined with earlier proposals for mandated pre-school, that would give the government mind control over our children for the early formative years through what would normally be the development of independent thought.

Continuing on the education front, he also projected that there should be incentives to retain teachers and reward the best ones.  As a caveat he suggested the removal of the bad ones.  (With his love of strong unions, I doubt that any bad teachers will be identified.  It could happen, I suppose, if one was to teach the Constitution or express an opinion other than liberal progressive).

I also happened to notice his expression of need to rebuild the transportation infrastructure and create jobs in the construction industry.  I waited to hear him announce the billions of dollars in recent contracts for building or rebuilding bridges, but that didn’t happen.  Specifically, I am talking about those which were awarded to Chinese national companies who supply imported Chinese labor.  Once again, this administration has taken borrowed American dollars to pay foreign workers or foreign countries for American projects at the expense of unemployed or underemployed American workers.

So, that’s what I saw and heard, what about you?

Liberals in high places have hijacked the country when we were all looking.  They are ego struck and taking advantage of positioning.  Because there is a progressive president and congress, there is a pervasive understanding amongst all progressives that they have the only correct answer.  As with most liberals, there is no consideration and certainly no tolerance for differing opinions.

Los Angeles City Council proudly and loudly claims one of the largest “immigrant” populations of the United States.  They are speaking, of course, of the illegal alien denizens.  They remain silent on the fact that the city also has the highest criminal and gang activity among the same residents.  They voted to boycott city business dealings with Arizona over enforcement of existing federal laws.  That’s one thing.  Politicians are welcome to have a say about other political doings.  Apparently, “We the People”, the citizens of the country, the employers of the politicians no longer have that same voice.

There is a definite line drawn between religion and government in our state run schools.  Morals, ethics and principles, were long ago removed from the education system and replaced with political and social ideology indoctrination.  These venues of “education” feed the unformed minds of our youth and inject the children with socialist, Marxist thinking and deeds.  They inoculate against free thinking and exploration of ideas.  The political philosophies professed create dictatorships, tyranny, poverty and desperation; huge government structures lording over the lower class, taking from the poor all they earn and replacing it with stipends.

An Illinois high school girl’s basketball team is being denied the opportunity to travel to Arizona for a tournament.  The team has worked hard and won their first conference title in 26 years only to have their reward sucked out of them purely for political purposes.  Prior teams have enjoyed trips to the “Human Rights Capital of the World”…China.  Apparently, China’s philosophy coincides with the policies and philosophies of progressive school administrators.

A San Diego, CA school district unanimously passed a resolution restricting school employees from traveling to Arizona on official business.  The school district is effecting a boycott against a state.  (I have to wonder if the resolution was worded in English!)

Progressives cause all the dissention and in-fighting with their refusal to accept and follow the base laws of this country.  Congress continues to draft and pass laws, never intending to enforce them.  They write laws simply to appropriate monies that can then be lost in the system.  It is camouflage for taking from the poor, and what’s now left of the middle income class, to benefit the rich despite the stated objectives.

The proud and patriotic Americans must regain normalcy and control of the country.  The elite in D.C. have no interest in allowing the once great opportunities that the United States of America once offered.  The social justice sought by our elected officials will ultimately collapse the economies of all countries.  It will inevitably lead to a greater separation of society by creating only two classes of people throughout the globe…those who govern and those who slave on behalf of the governors.

Arizona’s newest law is not about race and it’s not about immigration.  It is about the economic survivability of a state.  It is about following and enforcing the laws currently in existence and balancing the budget.  It is about using legal residents’ tax dollars for the benefit of legal residents.  If other governing bodies would recognize this and institute similar practices, we might be able to return to a flourishing economy far sooner than currently projected.

Boycotting trade with Arizona might have unsought repercussions.  Billions of dollars worth of business is transferred between states for sporting events alone.  Right now, we need as much cash flow in the economy as possible.  Travel and tourism is vital to all states, cities and many communities.  Arizonans take vacations and hold business conventions around the nation.  Reciprocal boycott behavior can only harm the nation at large.

Especially in these, times we must act and react rationally, not emotionally.
