Many times over in this blog and elsewhere, I have written that Social Security began as a fraud fraught with the foreseeable consequence of ultimate failure. Nevertheless, it sounded good to the ignorant masses and sucked in a generation seeking retirement stability.

Franklin D. Roosevelt led socialists, posturing as “progressives” to promote the program. The term socialist elicited an unwelcome response from the majority of American patriots, thus the term progressives came to be. Cloaking themselves as progressives gave socialists an ability to prompt a majority to accept a program rife with deceitful dependency.

With an average family size of 5.51, or 3.1 children produced by each couple (census figures 1900), the program looked good on the surface. Each child working productively would contribute to the retirement of the preceding generation in perpetuity. The flaw-the 3.1 child figure was down by .4 in the 35 years since the census of 1900 and over 3.9 from the 1800 tabulation. Family size began shrinking with urbanization and the industrial age vs. rural living and farming. The indicative trend actually encouraged knowledgeable socialists.

Twenty years later, in 1955, the average household size had dropped to 3.92 and Social Security, as originally proposed, was obviously no longer sustainable. By that time, however, the program was a political hot potato and no politician desiring re-election wanted to touch it. Doomed for failure, it became the problem of the next congress, then the next and the next.

By 2010, the average household size shrunk to 2.61 with many of the working household members supporting an elder parent, not a potentially productive offspring.

We now face another socialist program of like ilk. Obamacare, the Social Security of the 21st century has a similar ultimate fate projection. Sold as the bread slicer of the future, the salesmen fail to share that all the bread is now riddled with dirt and weevils.

Our elected president, a student and proponent of Karl Marx, along with radical progressives in congress, forced upon the American public a program that is failing before full implementation. Obamacare, at triple the original budget, is causing doctors to leave the field of medicine or, at best, refusing to accept Medicare and PPACA patients. The very program professed to ensure health coverage for the most needy makes care more difficult and costly for them.

Most unfortunate is that we now have another under funded feel good program making what was once the greatest nation of the world just another Greece-like failure. Unlike the European countries, there’s no coalition of countries from which to beg.

We’re the primary funding source of the U.N. Perhaps they’ll bail us out. Yeah, that’s the ticket. All we have to do is borrow more money from some of our adversaries, give the money to the U.N. and ask the world for forgiveness. Surely, the dictators and radical Islamic fundamentalists of the U. N. will respectfully reward President Obama. They’ll bolster the U.S. Constitution and aid in the restoration of our Democratic Republic. Letting more foreigners vote in our sovereign elections will also help.

Welcome, again, to the scary amusement park known as Bizarro World, USA. Hold on firmly to the safety rail, the ride only gets rougher from here.

Dear President Obama,

In 15 of Last 25 Months, Treasury Needed to Borrow Money to Pay Social Security Benefits.

From Wednesday, October 20, 2010  By Chris Johnson:  “Because the overall federal budget was in deficit during this entire period, the surplus revenues Social Security earned in the remaining 10 months of the last 25 was used during those months to pay ongoing general government expenses and was not saved to pay future Social Security benefits.”

I call it credit card spending.  Credit card spending is when you don’t have the money to buy what you want now so you borrow the money intending to pay it back a little at a time with horrendous interest, or with no thought in mind to repay it at all.

We have been aware for years that the day would come when the Social Security system would fail but none of the elite, in either party, would do anything about it.  Instead, they looked the other way and headed for Bloomingdale’s with a plastic card in hand.  BTW, we paid the bill, with interest, on that blooming card.

“Let me be clear”, the government cannot spend our way out of debt!  The more you spend the more debt you accumulate.  It’s economics.  It’s not rocket science.  Certainly you took a math course in your quest for a law degree.  If our public schools taught anything other than “Making Love to Your Fellow Gym Student” and “Kill a Baby, Save a Tree”, we might have an electorate capable of seeing that $2-$7 = need to quit spending.  But progressives have kept the populace dumb and ignorant.

Also, “Let me be perfectly clear”, government jobs do not contribute to recovery or prosperity of a nation; they create an additional burden on that nation which destroys the prospects for recovery and prosperity.

“Mr. President, no matter how many times you try to explain a pile of crap, it is still crap.

I’m reminded of a story I heard many moons ago.  Three young boys were walking down the street when they came across something on the sidewalk.

The first boy stared at it for a while and said, “It looks like dog crap.”

The second boy bent down and sniffed it.  “It smells like dog crap”, he said.

Boy number three got on one knee, swiped a finger through the gooey brown pile then lifted the finger to his tongue.  He gagged and said, “It tastes like dog crap, too.  Aren’t you glad we didn’t step in it?”

Mr. President, We the People are tired of being marched through your crap (pork laden Stimulus packages that stagnate employment and prosperity rather than stimulate the economy, health care that will cost more and care less, taxes rising on everything purchased, energy costs that “will necessarily skyrocket”) under threat of IRS audits and home foreclosures!

Trustees charged with overseeing Social Security are projecting there won’t be a cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the next two years.  There will, however, be an increase in the amount of pay and other benefits that members of Congress and the president’s staff receive.

You see, there is no way possible for this system to cover the true cost of living increase that we are experiencing and will continue to experience for the remainder of our lifetimes.  This Congress and administration has levied and will continue to levy assessments (taxes) upon us to pay for programs that “We the People” don’t even want.  These tax increases are causing businesses to shutter their doors and lay workers off.  The higher the taxes, the fewer people there are to help pay them.  Thus, the less money there is to pay back the ‘investors’ in the Social Security system.

Social Security is a program into which working people are forced to contribute.  You have no choice.  If you report your income, you must also give money to the federal government to hold and invest on your behalf so that you will have an income when the affects of aging limit your ability to continue earning.  Yes, you can also protect your well-being with other saving methods such as IRAs, 401(K) s, etc.; but you must also contribute to Social Security.

This Ponzi scheme is ready to collapse in such a way that will probably allow Bernie Madoff his freedom.  After all, he only did the same thing.  He took money from some people to pay others.  All the while promising returns to investors that could not be had elsewhere.   Eventually there was not enough coming in to cover the payouts.  The major difference between Mr. Madoff and our government – people could choose not to invest with Mr. Madoff.

“Give me your money to hold for a few years and I’ll take care of you down the line”.  Sound familiar?  The only difference is that Bernie is in jail for one hundred fifty years and our elected representatives are vying for another two, four or six years in positions allowing them to take more of our money to enrich only them while telling us that it is for our own good.

It really is time to take back our country.  We have been too complacent for too long and now we have a runaway government that is accountable to no one.

We have czars with more power than our elected officials (who have assumed far more authority than endorsed via our votes) reporting to only one man. We have no say, and little information regarding their position, authority, responsibility, duties or pay.  Each of the czars has his or her mini-empire of employees for which we are responsible.  We now have czars in charge of people in charge of things that should never be.  It’s the way of the federal government.  Give them an inch and they’ll hire an army of incompetents to measure it.

Yet, there is no money to repay those who paid into the Social Security system.

Next time you vote, be informed and vote wisely.  We cannot afford the mentality that it is “time for” a black man to be president, or a Muslim to be Secretary of Defense, or the U.N. to make policy for the U.S. or…
