We have fairness in broadcasting today. Not all of it is to the liking of the left leaning outlets controlling about 85% of the news, and that seems to be the problem. There was little rebuff with the repeal of the original 1949 FCC mandate because by 1987 the majority of news outlets had a significant liberal influence. The few others were scoffed and marginalized by the many. Truly, the only controversy came when facts surfaced that did not coincide with the coveted stories of the day.

The Fairness Doctrine, introduced by the FCC in 1949, required that broadcast licensees present controversial issues of public importance with honesty, equity and balance. Federal oversight included reprimands and fines for noncompliance issued at the discretion of the FCC commissioner. The guidelines (typically acceptable for any government agency) were ill defined and arbitrary. Print publications were not included in the doctrine.

With the wider opportunity for voices other than those deemed “the only truth”, liberals now want to change our speech and the presentation of ideas. Political correctness, inclusiveness and gender fluidity all allow for pigeonholing today’s non-conformists or traditionalists as bias and bigoted. Liberals (socialists) want to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine with tighter guidelines and more controls that align with their agenda. Ergo, fake news.

The latest seems to be Russians hacked the DNC to overturn the election outcome. It makes all Russians suspicious whether or not anyone of Russian descent or even anyone inside of Russia had anything to do with the information theft.  Where is the mention that the emails were true or that they were generated and distributed by a phony, lying, deceitful, conniving and unlikable Democrat candidate?

How better to take control of a population than to create a situation and amplify it to the point of crisis? Fake news is a perfect way of introducing a problem. Simply fabricate some “news”, The Russians Did It – The Russians Did It, post it on the World Wide Web, await the inevitable dispersal and declare it phony information pressed by the opposition. By making it appear as if it is coming from your opposition there is cause to declare and allege it’s false thereby proclaiming immediate credibility for your side. This practice has been around for decades and known as False Flag incidents or operations. The new twist is nothing more than progressive adaptation.

Journalism is no longer objective reporting of recent circumstance or events. It has become increasingly biased, opinionated and political whenever possible. By tweaking what is said or how a situation unfolds, the reporter can influence the thinking of those receiving the information. It need not be entirely false, misleading is generally sufficient. It’s all in the presentation.

A headline like “Cop Shoots Black Man” is all many will read or hear. It’s all many want to hear. It’s all they need to know. The underlying story might be that the black man was a terrorist who tried to assassinate the cop or tried to evade the cop and blow up a bank building or such. It may also be later revealed that it was not a black man, but a man in black clothing. The lack of information is as important to the story as that presented. None-the-less, the original story will incentivize some to riot.

With a new administration on the horizon, expect desperate cries of need for an Information Czar or Minister of Truth to oversee and direct our enlightenment. It will be nothing more than an attempt to further subjugate us under the ruling thumb of pro-socialists. It may well come in the form of another attempt to re-institute an updated Fairness Doctrine.

Apparently, even the Democrats have had enough of Obama imperiling national security to bolster his ego and inflame his narcissism.  CA Dem., Dianne Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee expressed concern about the Iran cyber attacks for which Obama has readily taken credit.  She said, (in paraphrase) Bragging by this White House about cyber attacks on Iran is dangerous and will undoubtedly lead to a counter attacks on the United States.

It’s what happened when Bin Laden was “relieved from duty”.  Obama and crew couldn’t wait to give the most detailed description of the operation.  (Much of it was embellishment for effect.)  The end result was that Pakistan, one of many countries with which we share bribe monies now borrowed from China, has turned openly hostile.  Prior to his (Obama’s) braggadocio that almost left out the contribution of the elite U.S. military forces, CIA ground and aerial intel gathering, ground based confidential informants and everybody else who actually did the work leading up to and concluding the mission, Pakistan only quietly denounced the U.S.

With the announcement that Obama had personally turned a loyal doctor into a CIA informant who pointed the finger to Bin Laden, the doctor was captured and sentenced to 33 years in prison.  Thanks Prez, from the family and friends of Dr. Shakil Afridi.

With our Narcissist in Chief, covert military operations are now only secret until completed.  After-mission galas with Hollywood celebrities and billionaire donors to gasconade about how he did it are the only quiet and concealed portions of the credit grabbing press conferences that follow.

The MSM will only acknowledge that Republicans are to blame for casting dispersion upon the President by saying the above is done only to bolster his re-election campaign.  It could be, however, that some alternative news sources want the public to know how our national security is being undermined by our country’s subversive figurehead.  The again, it could be that we’re shouting the truth because we just want the treasonous Marxist out of office.

SOTU 1-24-2012

January 25, 2012

Multiple witnesses to any event will see the same situation entirely different.  We will tend to interject our own views and perceptions to make the situation more real and accommodating to our inherent beliefs.  We will selectively see and hear what we want and what agrees with what we already know.

Pundits viewing last night’s SOTU address from the left heard the hope for change that they wanted to believe this President is capable of effecting.  Those from the right heard more lies and purposefully misleading statements causing them to believe the speech was little more than a televised campaign stump speech.

I watched the presentation and couldn’t help laughing nervously as I heard the truth, lies, and interpolated facts offered.  President Obama said that he was going to make government more efficient; shortly thereafter he noted the need for creating a new bureaucracy called the Trade Enforcement Agency.  He offered to centralize unemployment with a government run website.  He offered to consolidate federal bureaucracies with a “new unit”.  (I heard that to mean more employees for another inefficient federal bureaucracy like Homeland Security…but that’s just me).

He said in order to restore American superiority in science and technology, we may have to offer incentives to foreigners.  He made no mention of returning the current school system from the social, ecological and political indoctrination centers they have become to facilities for teaching science, math, world and U.S. geography and history.

To be sure the indoctrination has a firm hold, he suggested a bill to make all public education draftees stay under the influence of the government until they graduate or turn eighteen.  Combined with earlier proposals for mandated pre-school, that would give the government mind control over our children for the early formative years through what would normally be the development of independent thought.

Continuing on the education front, he also projected that there should be incentives to retain teachers and reward the best ones.  As a caveat he suggested the removal of the bad ones.  (With his love of strong unions, I doubt that any bad teachers will be identified.  It could happen, I suppose, if one was to teach the Constitution or express an opinion other than liberal progressive).

I also happened to notice his expression of need to rebuild the transportation infrastructure and create jobs in the construction industry.  I waited to hear him announce the billions of dollars in recent contracts for building or rebuilding bridges, but that didn’t happen.  Specifically, I am talking about those which were awarded to Chinese national companies who supply imported Chinese labor.  Once again, this administration has taken borrowed American dollars to pay foreign workers or foreign countries for American projects at the expense of unemployed or underemployed American workers.

So, that’s what I saw and heard, what about you?

White House Adds New Position to Deal with Unfavorable Online Media

By Chris O’Shea on May 23, 2011 2:32 PM

“The White House has named Jesse Lee to a new position within its communications department titled Director of Progressive Media & Online Response. According to The Huffington Post, Lee will essentially be responsible for building up Obama’s online presence as he prepares for his reelection bid, and squashing any negative stories:

The post is a new one for this White House. Rapid response has usually been outsourced to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), if not done on an ad-hoc basis by administration officials.  And it signals that the White House will be adopting a more aggressive defense of the president and his policies as his re-election campaign gears up.”

I’m not real sure, but I have always been under the impression that politicians could not use a taxpayer paid office or taxpayer paid dollars to campaign.  Isn’t this exactly that?  It’s bad enough that our elected elite don’t work while they are applying for or interviewing for new or continued employment.  How long would your boss continue to pay you to research, apply and interview for a job with another company using his desk, phone, mail and computer?  Wouldn’t he / she be expecting you to do the job for which you were hired and receiving pay?

He created a position to do the campaigning and coercing the media to run favorable items and articles about him and that position is being paid out of my tax dollars.  He’s not only irritating the hell out of me by taking more and more of my money, now he’s using some of my own money to get re-elected and continue the outrage.

Obama just pee-pee whipped the Boston Herald for not promoting him.  Now he has hired a Czar to see to it that no unfavorable articles are written about him.  Can you say “1984”?

Some people still wonder why I call it Bizarro World, USA.

Two headlines slammed my eyes this morning when I opened the Drudge Report.  They were not juxtaposed, simply both available with a single scan of the page.

White House shuts out Herald scribe

I guess if you provide flowery, glowing coverage of the current administration and give them top billing you’re being honest but if you don’t you’re a biased, bigoted racist.

Why Is Soros Spending Over $48 Million Funding Media Organizations?

Marionette controller, Soros, is the major backer for everything Obama.  George Soros is also the sole key holder to the “investigative journalism” branch of the Huffington Post.  The Huffington Post is, if you recall, the designated source for news about what is happening in Washington, D.C. according to our President.

I have to wonder about the concerns of the forties and fifties regarding propaganda and the lies being fed to us as truth, to be believed by the citizens of the world.  The same loathsome crap is now catered to our kids and grand-kids in school.  They are under highly influential control for 5-7 hours per day.

Using Al Gore’s words, “Don’t listen to your parents.  There are some things about our world that you know that older people don’t know”.

Propaganda?  Indoctrination?  Media Control?  Mind Manipulation?  Brainwashing?  Call it what you will, it’s just not right.  Children should be educated, not indoctrinated.  Adults and children should have the opportunity to hear both or all sides to any scenario, not just one.  Eliminating dissenting opinion or opposing dialogue is destructive connivance and we must be aware of the vicious potential.
