JUSTIFYING BAD BEHAVIOR WITH GOOD BEHAVIOR

March 19, 2018

Just as the news media condemns the removal of illegal aliens from this country because they have skirted the law for years and sometimes decades, they renounce the removal of a criminal from the justice department before he can continue to further bilk taxpayers for his disgraceful behavior.

First, let us start with truth. Any law enforcement officer, criminal judge or even a behavioral specialist will tell you that when a person is caught, rarely is it the first time he or she has committed a misdemeanor or felony. Often they may have done the same or similar things many times in the past. As a for instance, when a person is pulled over by a patrol officer for speeding, it may be the second, tenth or hundredth time that person actually broke a speed decree. They may have disregarded many stop signs or red lights before being caught speeding this time. Not being caught before does not exonerate any previous wrongs.

It should matter naught whether a politician has a (D), (R) or (I), behind their name. It is how they act and vote that matters. Is it in the best interest of the majority of citizens or is it in the name of some focus group or small but loud agitation faction? Is that vote one for the continued success of a democratic republic or is it one that will eventually change our republic into a two tiered (elite and subservient) socialist or communist regime?

Liberals like to bellow that Mueller is a Republican, therefore his investigation into a president who won the election under the Republican party ticket is honorable and not to be questioned. The fact that his investigative team is made up of highly partisan Democrats who display a significant shortsightedness regarding the misgivings of any and all members of their chosen party is to be overlooked.

John McCain’s service to the country while in uniform and his courageous endurance while in captivity is certainly honorable and commendable. His liberal disservice to this very same country while in the House and Senate, however, is not to be lauded. The fact that he, Jeff Flake and Ben Sasse – Never Trumpers all – call themselves Republicans does not make them conservative or preservative of the country we know. They would rather change the stature and structure of the country than publicly agree that a Washington outsider’s attempt to restore law, order and culture to America is in the best interest of the citizens even if it is not best for politicians.

Likewise, just because a person or group of people managed to gain entry into the country illegally or overstay their granted welcome (visa) and remain for weeks, months or years before being detected does not justify any “right” to remain. It does not convey to them the rights and privileges accorded to citizens.

That brings us to the dilemma of Andrew McCabe. McCabe is a man who was finally identified and fired for performing duties contrary to those for which he was hired. Some say that it is disrespectful for the Attorney General to fire him and relieve the taxpayers of a $1.8 million burden just days before his scheduled retirement. Others say that the firing should have taken place months ago and saved the taxpayers his salary to this point. As illustrated above, this is the time for which he was identified as subversive. It does not mean that it was the first time in his 21 year career that he did something against bureau protocol with a politically minded purpose.
