OVERWHELM THE SYSTEM 2018 STYLE

October 29, 2018

In 1966, Richard Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven, developed a strategy to overload the public Welfare system and precipitate a crisis leading to the replacement of the system with a national guaranteed income that, in their minds, would end poverty in the U.S. This became well known as “The Cloward and Piven Strategy”.

Need it be said that they were both professors indoctrinating the leaders of today with the ways of Communism. As teachers at the Columbia University School of Social Work, they were able to instill Utopian thoughts in the accepting minds of today’s Progressive/Socialist/Democrats.

Their ploy has since become the mainstream thought and platform of the current Democrat party. As president, Obama did his level best to over-regulate private business causing mass unemployment and need for government “safety net” programs. With the help of community organizers, President Obama increased the demand on the nation’s entitlement Welfare system and carried the concept of induced poverty to include WICS, section 8 housing subsidies, Obamaphones and encouraged many former workers to partake of disability payments through the Social Security fund.

One Democrat, Senator Ben Cardin, recently suggested that we welcome the hordes of impoverished Central and South Americans of the caravan into our country, thus, further straining our current resources. Beyond that, he also called for “investing” more U.S. income earners’ money by giving the thieves heading the pseudo-democratic socialist dictatorships of our neighbors to the south greater opportunity to continue the practices that harm the citizenry of those countries.

Today’s amplified and exaggerated version of the strategy promulgated by the pair of anarchists envelopes more than the monetary subsidies extended by federal agencies. It is also burdening education, health care and the court systems. It is straining the civil, criminal and federal courts by introducing otherwise illegal foreigners to the courts in addition to citizens and legal residents.

Currently, there is said to be a backlog in the immigration courts exceeding 700,000 cases. Add to that the human procession estimated at 7,000-10,000 headed north from Mexico’s southern border. Their intent (actually the intent of the multi-billionaire globalists funding the incursion) is to destroy our sovereignty; to break down the borders that define our country and create chaos and anarchy. Many, if not most, of the intruders will be awarded benefits paid for by you and your fellow citizens.

The socialists among our population and elected leaders are destined to use the inevitable “crisis” created to further their goals of remaking our country into one from which people, in just a few short years, will try to escape.

There is only a week left to mark your ballot for continued economic growth, prosperity and rule of law or the likeness of Venezuela.

FROM THE RIGHT AND FROM THE LEFT

June 26, 2018

Oh, how we mock thee. Let me count the ways. (Sorry Liz, the devil made me do it)

Today’s big story is IMMIGRATION. As with everything we hear and see on the news, there are two sides presented, one from the MSM and the other from a few right of center outlets. The truth finds itself somewhere in between the presentations offered. In seeking that truth, we must be aware that the meaning of the word journalist has been severely bastardized. Virtually every news reporting comes with a predetermined inclination to influence.

Let’s start with some definitions

Journal: a record, usually daily, of the proceedings and transactions

Journalist: a person who practices the occupation or profession of journalism

Journalism: the occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or of conducting any news organization as a business.

The media, be it print, cyber, radio or TV, tend to incorporate their bias on any subject, politics in particular. The cyber world is undoubtedly the most balanced, yet many social media interactions are edited and culled by operators disposed by a liberal mindset.

The “Main Stream Media” has the greatest influence on most people simply due to their dominance in the field of “journalism”. The left, or progressive (aka socialist) side of the political spectrum, unquestionably has the strongest hold on the profession; the loudest and most frequent voice, therefore the most influence on any story. They coerce opinions of their followers through repetition.

Facts no longer matter to today’s news reporters. What is conveyed to the public is willfully distorted by the opinion of the writer, editor, newscaster, station or publication. Trying to find the truth of any important matter is as much fun as Congress passing a bill “to, ah, find out what is in it”.

By the time the truth is identified, the damage has been done and any apology or correction that might be offered is relegated to time cloaked obscurity. Any correction or retraction is overshadowed by a more current and attention demanding announcement.

On TV: The news and commentary stations constantly battle one another presenting their interpretation of the day’s or week’s happenings. In doing so, often they will use clips from another or other stations’ airings as counterpoint to their own offerings of the truth in news. Then the counter point is mocked.

What I have found is that when the major broadcast and cable stations do this they almost always use FOX as the one to present. The clips from FOX News may include hosts and guests making statements about a particular subject. The opinions often vary little overall but do have a variety of personal interpretations. FOX uses clips primarily from CNN and MSNBC but often includes some from ABC, NBC and CBS as well as audio from NPR. A montage from this collective, however, sounds like a variety of voices reading the same script.

There are key words and phrases used in each clip from the MSM collective. One of the latest is, “…ripped from the arms of his/her breast feeding mother…”.

Wow, what an emotion compelling phrase. It provokes disgust and induces hatred toward law enforcement and this administration. Powerful and opinionated statements such as this do not convey the truth about mass illegal entry at our southern border.

Iterations of this phrase have been uttered multiple times over the past two or three weeks on virtually every major station by either pundits or anchors. The children, in each case are “ripped from the arms”; not taken, not separated, not lifted, not removed. They are “ripped from…”. It’s like one script has been handed to each leftest station and they are told not to vary from the script.

This is exactly why I choose to watch and listen to both sides of any political discussion. I know that the truth is somewhere between the hatred of the left and the apologies of the right. With the last administration, it was the disdain of the right for dictatorial policies and the defenders on the left for a country on the path to autocratic socialism. America should be somewhere between the extremes.

If more people would pay attention to other than just what feeds their own beliefs or emotions, I believe there would be a lot more calm and understanding. And if those people with direct access to events would accurately portray them to the public, it would go a long way toward easing the acrimony they now advance.

This democratic republic experiment deserves an opportunity to survive. History shows us that other forms of governance do nothing more than enslave the mass population while those at the top thrive.

DREAMERS AND OTHER LAW BREAKERS

April 3, 2018

For those of you who want to immediately call CNN and report your imagined hatred read into the title above please, at least this one time, take a moment to absorb some reason from this writing.

Using just a bit of logic, try to adapt the following situation to the current immigration debate.

A white Scandinavian adult male (we’ll call him Bjorn) here on an expired visa enters a locally owned independent grocery store. He just wants a better life for himself and his family. Along with him is his fourteen year old daughter, Margareta.

Bjorn gathers a pork roast, corn, some potatoes, carrots and perhaps a gallon of milk along with some hygiene products and cleaning supplies from the shelves. Margareta meanwhile places some gum, chips and an umbrella into the basket. Together they run out of the store as fast as they can with Bjorn pushing the shopping cart. They get three blocks away from the store and within a block of their home before being apprehended by a local constable. In their flight, they cross out of the city limits into county territory.

Using your brain, not your emotion, relate this situation to what you inherently know is right for our immigration system. Below are a few questions to ask yourself. I have already provided some plausible comparable situations.

1. After being questioned by authorities, should they be free to go with their largess because they were not caught within the confines of the store or even the city where the crime occurred? Illegal aliens, having made their way across our border are given a Notice to Appear and sent on their merry way. Many never show up in court and remain at large for years using stolen or forged documents to obtain work and government services.

2. If the pair was not caught and questioned within three weeks or two months, does that effectively erase the crime? Advocates for illegal immigrants often use the argument that he/she has been in the U.S. for X amount of time and, therefore, should be allowed to remain.

3. Should the store owner or manager be held liable because the front door was open for patrons or the back door was unlocked because a delivery was being made at the time? Many advocates for the illegal aliens say it is the fault of the U.S. for not adequately securing the borders. Then, when discussion regarding security measures begin, the people wanting to defend our borders are called racists or xenophobes.

4. Should the adult be punished for his misdeed? He was only trying to provide for his family. This is a favorite argument on behalf of the illegal immigrants. Bjorn showed his daughter that it is acceptable to break the law as long as the personal goal can be self-justified as honorable.

5. Should the minor child’s theft be forgiven because this is the only life she knows? She shows no remorse for her actions. She may even demand public support as a victim of immigration laws that do not support her “right” to be here attempting to survive.

6. Should the minor child be awarded benefits beyond those of her peers because her father is a petty criminal and taught her that it’s okay if the stated end goal is self betterment? Education, school lunches, health care, housing subsidies, subsistence payments?

7. Did Margareta have the opportunity to comply with moral codes and existing law; to apply for permanent legal residency? Did her dad? This is a question that advocates for illegal immigrants refuse to ask or answer.

Ya gotta love the cries of the “Dreamers”. Their illegal entry was forgiven by a lawless president. They have been taught by our public schools (at taxpayer expense and the educational cost to other students, I might add) that just because they came here as youth or young adults, through no fault of their own, that they are owed all the rights and benefits associated with citizenship.

They are owed! They are owed lawyers at taxpayer expense. They are owed a SNAP card and account. They are owed an education. They are owed driver licenses. They are owed health care and medical treatment. They are owed free tuition or instate tuition at state colleges and universities. They are even owed an “Obama Phone”, cable access and high speed internet connection (in some cases, a computer to make the connection). They are owed an interpreter and “first-in-line” placement and accommodations for not speaking and understanding the language. They are owed the benefit of doubt when committing minor crimes.

Let’s use some intelligence and start with the premise that they are law breakers, minors or not! Rectify the first misdemeanor. Go home and start the legal process. Then we can work on the rest.

Yes, we can and should help some of the people escaping extreme danger or tyranny. But we are not obligated to accept everybody who wants to live here and change our laws and culture to match those they fled. English is our language. Enforced laws used to be our way of order.

THE PROGRESSIVE HEAD FAKE

January 18, 2018

They did it to President Johnson in 1965. They did it to President Reagan in 1986 with approximately 3 million illegal aliens and they apparently just did it again with President Trump. “Give me what I want, and I promise to think about what you have suggested you would like to have happen”. Then, as soon as the left gets what they want, in whole and in all parts, they seemingly forget the second portion of the agreement. Worse yet, they want and expect even more concessions before complying with the remaining portions of the original request.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

Over the years, “comprehensive immigration reform” has been bandied about as a negotiating point, political tool or a weapon but that is as far as it has been carried by either party. Now progressives want DACA certified as a stand alone program. After the occurrence of such, they claim willingness to “work on” comprehensive immigration reform. To progressives, however, comprehensive means vague language that allows entitlement, nurturing and amnesty for foreigners illegally in the country and the extended family members they choose to include in the future. Progressives do it again and again and our semi-conservative legislators, blindly believing the best in people, dupe themselves.

This time around the subject is about 800,000 young people (some now upwards of 30 years old) who have taken advantage of multiple entitlement programs including free K-12 education that they barely understand. Fewer than half are proficient in English and have little intention or desire to assimilate into the American culture. They carry flags from the countries to which they still owe allegiance and prefer conversing in foreign languages. Though they have chosen to separate themselves from their family members in order to receive American entitlements, they expect us to welcome not just their offspring but extended clan and teach, train and provide for them as well.

This is the DACA program. By mindfully granting 800,000 young and innocent foreigners the opportunity to take advantage of taxpayers, President Obama set the course for an unquenchable thirst of millions. It is the Cloward and Piven plan to overwhelm the welfare and economic systems carried to the Nth degree.  The current president and congress are now left to deal with this exasperating and untenable situation.

If you agree with those who want legalization for 800,000 DACA grantees or if you are on the fence regarding the issue, please click on the link below and read the article written in 2010. Though it was written during the dictatorial and over-lording reign of President Obama, the last 2/3 of it is as applicable today as it was then.

In 1965, the Immigration and Nationality Act (aka the Hart-Cellar Act), changed our immigration system to allow a more diverse population to legally enter the United States. It was gracious and humanitarian but did not adequately address the influx of illegal entrants to our nation. That was over 50 years ago.

More recently (only 32 years ago) President Ronald Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. There was a promise to effectively control the illegal traffic at our borders and shorelines after granting amnesty to some 3 million people, but again that pledge was never to come about.

Over the past 118 years since 1900, there have been over 30 major structural changes to the way immigration is handled in the United States. None of them addresses illegal entry with punishment harsh enough to prevent it or even curtail it. Our “leaders” keep allowing the problem to grow and fester then say it is too massive to be handled all at once. Thus, we need “comprehensive reform” that can be forgotten at time of funding and long thereafter.

This is a can so dented from kicking that it can no longer be identified as a once valued container. “Comprehensive” is overwhelming and that is exactly why it stalemates every attempted conversation. There must be a starting point and logical order to address the problem. That starting point is: border walls with limited and safeguarded entry points, along with cyber, aerial, radar and infrared detection at all points of possible entry, land and sea.

Our boat is sinking and this is no time to test the potability of the water flooding in. We must plug the holes and bail the excess before we all drown. We can no longer massage and modify our immigration laws to comply with the wishes of people from around the globe  wanting to remake our nation in the image of the countries they dislike enough to leave behind.

This is not about racism as the left wants to inject into every conversation.  This is about protecting our infrastructure; our economy, our industry, our educational institutions and our democratic republic as a whole.

Only after securing our borders and shorelines to protect the nation from further invasion of insurgents willing to overtake and transform our democratic republic and deporting the intruders with alternative allegiance, can we undertake measures to simplify our legal immigration system. And, we can no longer allow progressives to undermine our sovereignty.

IT WAS CALLED A DAY WITHOUT IMMIGRANTS BUT FOR MANY IT WAS THE LAST DAY OF WORK

February 22, 2017

After eight years of coddling people who have skirted laws and agents in their quest to break into our country, some employers finally found the strength to push back. Stories abound from coast to coast regarding the many business owners who decided that their livelihoods would not be dictated by the people they employ.

Last Thursday was labeled “A Day Without Immigrants”. Natural born citizens as well as legal and illegal immigrants took to the streets in protest of what some call security for our borders, economy and nation in general. Many of the protesters found that actions have consequences. Employers have an abundance of applications and resumes for people anxious to fill the now vacant positions.

According to news articles:

Tulsa, OK – 12 Latinos were dismissed for failing to show up for work. The business had to close for the day and the owner lost his ability to pay his ongoing bills that day.

Statesville, N.C. – 18 people lost their employment for failing to report to work on time-sensitive contracts.

Lexington, S.C. – after being warned, 21 workers were fired for defiantly not showing up for work.

Bonita Springs, FL – 6 staff members no longer have jobs.

Commerce City, CO – 30 brick layers were set idle.

Nolensville, TN – 20 households lost, at least, a significant portion of their income.

Before you cry RACIST you must understand that when employees of any nationality shut down a business, the owner must assure that it will not happen a second time for the same or any other reason. When a person invests their expertise, labor and money to produce an ongoing income for themselves and their family, that becomes his or her priority. Employing people is only a means to achieve that personal goal. There is no obligation to provide for those willing to cause harm to that business or employer. If only we could get rid of the insubordinate deadwood in government as easily.

It’s not a matter of race or nationality, it’s a matter of protecting one’s investment. If these employers were truly racist, would he or she have given a job to someone they despise because of their national origin or skin color?

Restaurant patrons coast to coast experienced delays in receiving their fare because waiters, cooks and other staff failed to report for work. Some establishments were forced to close for the day due to lack of staff. From California to Maine, the unreliable are now seeking new employment. While many, but not all, are Hispanic, that is not the reason for their firing. Caring more about making a political statement than they did about their employer’s right to continue in business is the reason.
