TRUMP vs. THE SWAMP

October 30, 2017

I am not a Trump supporter. I did not vote for President Trump in the primary though I did vote against the lying, conniving and corrupt malefactor known as Hillary Rodham Clinton in the general election.

That said, I find myself tending to defend the president’s attempts to make America great again more and more with every attack on him from the left and established politicians of both parties. It is not necessarily because I agree with everything he’s doing, it’s just an innate need to counter-resist the insanity that is pushed into my face and senses every day.

I have, from before the beginning of his presidency, believed that he will do what he can to make the necessary changes to the political inbreeding of the past century. The eight year period prior to his inauguration was filled with Alinsky divisiveness to turn this country into a Marxist/socialist experiment. The Constitution was shredded with executive orders, underhanded and corrupt dealings, illegal and unnecessary regulations, fines and confiscations.  Many of President Obama’s actions and those he encouraged were contrary to our founding documents and laws passed by congress thereafter. The courts are just now getting around to ruling on and reversing those violations.

President Obama sliced and diced the country thinner than any Ginsu cutlery could and in more ways than one can count.  He pitted blacks against whites, poor and working Americans against their wealthier counterparts, workers against management, women against men, Latinos (even American Latinos) against other Americans, gays against straights and virtually every possible faction and subset of our society against those whose views were different. There was no compromise. Deep and wide chasms were formed where dialogue once existed. By his promotion and organizing, discussion became vitriolic and dislike became hatred.

The task of restoring our democratic republic is only made harder by those entrenched in government stalling and combating the president’s every effort. This is coming not only from those elected to congress, but from the career bureaucrats who view change as a threat to their existence. It’s as if they fear their effective tenure inoculation will be rendered deficient. In reality, any change to increase efficiency and economy is truly a threat to them. Some may even have to quit playing GTA and watching as much porn on our computers during the work day and get a little work done.

It happens to be Donald Trump, a man with a tendency to be direct and abrasive when demeaned or belittled. However, it could be anybody in the White House trying to make major changes and correct the course of the current and failing political structure in Washington, D.C. (the swamp). There are simply too many public functionaries anchored throughout the halls of all federal (now feral) entities for a small cadre to overcome within a few months. Congress stalls appointments and the intelligence and law enforcement arms refuse to cooperate for fear of indicting themselves. They seem to still be taking orders and directions from the immediate past president who forms and organizes public and private resistance just a short distance from the White House.

I’ve been watching politics since the mid 1970s, perhaps a bit before, and this is the first time that I can recall former presidents and congressional members (without respect to party) attacking a duly elected president outright. Yes, there have been one-off snide comments, snipes and innuendos over the years, but nothing like the unmitigated onslaughts that happen on an almost daily basis. This year and last has been a circus of has-beens, wannabes and other losers trying to one-up each other and take their 15 minutes of celebrity by shooting the captain in the back before scuttling a seaworthy ship.

To restore law and order, the filthy swamp must be drained, dehydrated and incinerated.  We voters must then refill the void with new and hygienic resources in Washington, D.C. and our local governments.

IS DONALD J. TRUMP THE WRONG OR RIGHT PRESIDENT TO LEAD THIS COUNTRY?

July 5, 2017

The knowledge and intelligence of the voting public has been so degraded over the past two to three decades that choosing a president is no longer a matter of national pride, personal integrity or doing what is best for the country. Voting has become a popularity contest. Idiots at the polls now vote for the candidate deemed by the media and pundits as “most likely to win”. That way they can feel good about themselves after the election.

Our last president won the idiot choice award twice. Once winning because of his ancestral heritage, oratory and charisma and a second time on his oratory and charisma alone. He did little to benefit the economy, blacks and other minorities, business, workers or bolster the standing of the U.S. among other nations of the world. In fact, he did just the opposite. He damaged the U.S. with his actions in attempt to swiftly turn the country into a Marxist regime. Even many of those who voted for the free party favors offered by President Obama capably recognized that his perceived successor was not the right person for the soon to be vacated office.

The other choice was a non politician; someone who many thought might stand a chance of correcting the deviant course the nation was put upon during the previous eight years. The choice was either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Clearly, Hillary would continue down the path toward socialism. That left the successful celebrity and billionaire business magnate, Donald Trump.

It was clear and well known for years before the announcement of his candidacy that Mr. Trump is a strong but crude business specialist and not a politician. Those factors drew tens of thousands to the rallies in which he championed the exact opposite of what the nation had experienced with the outgoing administration. Trump said he would fill his cabinet with the best, most qualified and successful members who were willing to take on the matters of the nation with aplomb, not apology.

Unlike the cautious, politically correct and eloquent Barack Obama, Donald Trump is rash, brash, direct and unapologetic in his words and actions. He decisively says what is on his mind without forethought of political consequence. He wants to correct the ills of the nation rapidly. He holds meetings and listens to his counselors’ and advisers’ input but does not dwell on the small differences of opinion and expertise that stall implementation. Eg. He would not wait 16 hours (time to allow escape) before authorizing a raid on America’s #1 enemy.

In his first six months:

President Trump has removed the bindings from our combat troops that were put in place by the military shaming Obama. He does not micro-manage the military. He leaves battlefield decisions to the well trained officers in command of the fighters. The rules of engagement have returned to reasonable. Our troops are once again allowed to defend themselves and they can take an offensive posture against those who wish to kill them. Our fighting men and women are no longer two legged targets. He, President Trump, is regaining the respect for and from our military, allies and our enemies on behalf of America.

The stock market is at an all time high. Retirement funds/401Ks are building assets for workers. Employment is regaining ground as business improves. Not only is the fictitious unemployment rate dramatically lower than any time during the business wrecking Obama years <link> , the true labor participation rate  <link> is commendably higher. Consumer confidence is up. Though auto and large luxury items remain slow, home sales are not.

The housing market is rebounding with resale homes on the market for an average of 45 days over 2011’s average of 84 days. Prices are appreciating as well with a national average increase of almost 8.5% between May 2016 and May 2017. Between the November elections and present, that appreciation is actually 9.2% <link>.

Illegal immigration is down by a whopping 65%-67% according to government statistics. Illegal alien criminals are self deporting along with those under ICE deportation orders. Many who would otherwise attempt breaking into the nation are rethinking the consequences. Paying a coyote thousands of dollars only to be ejected within weeks or months of entry, if they even succeed at getting in, is considered the primary reason.

We now have a balanced Supreme Court. The majority of the seated justices believe in and adhere to the U.S. Constitution. One more constructionist will restore the order of law our founding fathers imagined.

As president, Donald Trump has managed to accomplish this and more despite the “resistance” from congress and the socialist/fascist lemmings that still follow the defeated America hating leaders of the Democrat party, past and present. He is still ahead of the establishment swamp creatures evading changes to business as usual in Washington, D.C.

If he would only forego the acidic, rapid fire tweets that allow the ammunition they pursue, he could possibly win their minds as he presents them and the entire country with benefits beyond what they believe they seek. Left to their present obvious choice, we would have the economic and political woes of Venezuela.

Even perfection would probably be poorly received. However, it is not becoming for the man in charge to personally defend himself against every attacker or perceived attacker through vicious social media retorts on a daily basis. Many of the verbal pugilists would fall to the wayside without such goading and prompting.

However, the general public refuses to accept that Donald Trump is holding two positions right now. First and foremost he is a successful businessman. As such he has had to intermingle in politics for years, yet he is no politician. He is a doer; he acts and reacts without hesitation. He is not one to dwell on or over-think situations. He sought and was awarded the presidency. He did so to make the changes necessary to restore America to its former standing. He is learning politics and the mire created by bureaucracy. It must be frustrating to him.

Second, he is the President of the United States. He is in transition. In business, he listens to and sorts advice from his management team. He then acts in the most appropriate way for the betterment of his business and his employees. As he attempts to meld common sense business practices with politics he is encountering potholes and speed bumps. Not everyone in Congress has the same goals in mind and some are unforgiving. They not only balk at ideas not aligned with their thinking, they stall and obstruct and restrain any progress because it is the way of government.

Donald Trump is a social liberal, a fiscal conservative and a national patriot. He believes strongly in the rule of law and expects compliance. His strength is in his patriotism. This is a combination that Washington, D.C. and the nation has not seen, at least not for many years. It is one that confuses the establishment and infuriates the left who cannot accept anything other than someone who kow-tows to their own “all inclusive” liberal, progressive, socialist ideology.

Though some cannot separate the individual from the office, they would be far better off if they could. President Trump is truly doing some wonderful things for the country. Mr. Trump is an unabashed Twitiot who will lash out when demeaned. He said early on that when he is hit he hits back harder. The media hates him for this. Once again, he is only doing what he promised. Presidential? Eh, not so much.

To sum it up, I said in 2007 that it was time for a black president, but Barack Obama was not the right black man. He proved that I was correct.

I believed then as I do now that the country needs a leader with strong ties to, and understanding of, business. He’s been in office only six months. Business gurus agree that it takes an average of 13 months for a person to comfortable fit into a new position. Does he deserve more time to prove he’s the leader this country needs? I think so, but I’m open to changing that opinion.

THESE ARE DEFINITELY DIFFERENT TIMES

February 20, 2017

This president has more to overcome than most. Because he is an outsider, he doesn’t understand or follow political protocol. He makes things happen rather than convening delegations to talk about what needs to be done then waiting for something to begin happening.

Mistakes? Yes. That’s not at all uncommon when advancing new programs or ideas. Mistakes can be and are corrected. Calling them “unintended consequences”, dismissing them and moving forward is wrong on every level. The ACA is a prime example. It was wrong from the beginning. It was costly and offered less care than insurance companies allowed prior. Doing nothing is safe and prolongs political careers, but accomplishes nothing else.

It’s now far beyond party politics. This is anarchy. This is riotous rebellion. There is no other excuse for the foolishness taking place in Washington, D.C. and around the country. The entrenched Washington establishment hates change. That’s why it takes so long for conventional channels to effect anything beneficial. When little happens, there are fewer unintended consequences and the ignorant masses won’t see any difference…to appreciate or protest. Therefore, those in office stay in office and continue feeding their own pockets.

The Ninth Circus recently made another of their now infamous bonehead decisions. They, again, made a political statement in favor of rainbows and perceived harmony instead of homeland security. The written opinion, meant to justify the decision, illustrated that it was not a constitutional or even a logical decision. It was purely political.

The news agencies are out to get the president, his staff, his advisers and his confirmed department heads. Because they parse his every word to benefit their preconceived agenda, Sean Spicer skips questions from many of the leftest news-maker-uppers. When not called upon in recent press briefings, they became even louder and more malevolent using comparisons to Hitler and the Taliban in their talk programs and opinion columns hoping to win greater access and favor. DUH!

Much, if not all, of this is due to the fact that President Trump is a political outsider. He is learning the ropes and he’s learning who’s dangling them in front of him. Talk of impeachment began shortly after he won the election! Thus, it may take a bit longer for things to settle. None the less, he will dodge the alligators as he removes their habitat.

The left, the media (redundancy noted), the right and even the apolitical bureaucrats don’t yet understand his non-governmental style. They are not used to getting things done rapidly. The civil servant desk jockeys, in particular, are not familiar with justifying their pay by accomplishing tasks within a reasonable time.  They too are balking at the new administration.  The first 100 days will be primarily the sorting and filing firing days.

NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES OR HOW THE PRESIDENT TERMS IT, THE LOONY LEFTIES WILL TRY TO MOCK AND DESTROY HIM

February 6, 2017

President Trump identified many of the country’s problems while on the campaign trail. Most, but certainly not all, were caused by the administration in charge at the time. Among the failures were health care (the expensive tax mandate offering little insurance and less care), ISIS and other radical Islamic terrorists, border security, immigration, partisan political department heads and office holders, jobs, education and international relations to name just a few. The progressives are doing their best to defy and destroy any and all attempts to remedy the above ills.

Since just before he was sworn into office, there have been what the left calls protests or demonstrations and observers call riots with unfounded cause. The media, in defense reporting, refer to the events as constitutionally guaranteed free speech. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of personal and public property has since been destroyed. Cleanup costs absorbed by insurance companies, city, county and state budgets have soared. Many of the anarchists don’t even understand why they are doing what they are doing. They are either caught up in the Twitter fed “movement” (an opportunity to blow off steam), or they are being paid to participate.

There are others who actually believe in what they do. Environmentalists, for example, protest the thought of having a wall along our southern border in the name of protecting the flora and fauna of the region.  Blinded by ill conceived ideology, they refuse to see or accept the damage to ranch land, national parks and desert life done by masses of disrespectful people trudging across plants, insects, rodent burrows and other habitat of the desert floor. They seem not concerned about the trails and piles of non-biodegradable refuse left behind or the massive wildfires caused by the mismanaged campfires of illegal entrants.

To them, it matters naught that citizens are now barred from, or cautioned against, entry to the very terrain sanctuaries they claim they want to protect. In many places along the southern confines, one might risk life and limb trying to enjoy the beauty of our land due to hostile encounters.

Then comes the big hit. As the Trump team looks into re-branding the politically correct and ineffectual program called Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) the few remaining unexploded progressive heads are ready to burst.

By identifying the true problem such as “Countering Radical Islamic Extremism” and concentrating on the menace rather than the politics, perhaps an end might be in sight. This proposed move establishes a difference between Muslims and those who have hijacked the religion’s name for the sake of western cultural genocide. Until now, the two were assiduously conflated to confuse the ignorant and irk those who believe in Muhammad but do not believe in killing or maiming in the name of uncivilized 7th century brutality. Rather than inflaming the peaceful worshipers as progressives prompt, this move should consolidate them in a plan to return respect to their observance.

The new administration is undoubtedly also working on plans to quell anarchy in the streets. Students of major universities are now inescapably caught in a web spun and funded by the seditious George Soros et al. They cannot draw parallels with their acts and the terrorists we battle. Many don’t know history and even fewer know why they are being led to engage in the crimes they commit.

Burning cars and libraries, destroying businesses and taunting police must end and it probably won’t end in happiness and joy. It could well end with the participants dwelling for a period in the “FEMA Emergency Centers” proposed by Alcee Hastings in 2009.  Not closed, the bill was reintroduced as H.R. 390 in 2014. While the title of the bill sounds typically innocuous, these emergency centers are surrounded by 10′-12′ fences topped with razor wire.  (That ain’t to keep peaceful civilian refugees safe from nature, folks.)  The covert intent is to warehouse subversive individuals and groups when deemed threats by the federal government. (Just another unintended consequence of a progressive’s attempt to dominate the masses that could be used against them.)

So, whether you agree or disagree with his methods as you watch the idiots destroy their own world, you can rest assured there is now someone in charge who will act on your behalf without first checking the direction of the political correctness windsock.
