GET ELECTED TO CONGRESS AND VOTE FOR YOURSELF

November 27, 2018

Compared to men and women in uniform who willingly risk their lives to retain our way of life and give citizens around the globe humanitarian opportunities, our government elite are excessively compensated. For instance, a U.S. military member with a pay grade of E-6 (five earned pay grades above entry level) having given more than two years service to our country receives a base pay of only $2,802/mo.($33,264/yr.) This is scheduled to be raised for 2019 by 2.4% to a whopping $2,869/mo. A serviceman’s work schedule includes readiness twenty-four hours a day and often includes weeks on end without a stand down.

Compare that to the average Amazon carton handler who now earns $15.00/hr. That’s 2,580/mo. or nearly $31,000/yr. for placing boxes on a conveyor belt 8 hours a day.  When the bell rings ending the shift, they’re outta there!  An over-the-road trucker earns an average of $23.00/hr or almost $78,000 annually if they really go at it.  Consider what the average retail store manager is paid.  Good ones make approximately $46,000 a year.

Military accommodations often consist of living in tents, bathing in streams or ponds when available with clothing changes welcomed whenever possible. Granted, they do receive an extra stipend when deployed to areas or subjected to situations where death is imminent.

Why should congressional members protected by the secret service and capitol police make so much more?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wears designer ensembles costing more than the average soldier makes in a month to her campaign venues. While campaigning, she has been seen wearing outfits of estimated cost exceeding $3,500 including shoes with a price tag of $625. Though she dresses for success, she’s whining that she cannot afford to live in the city or suburbs surrounding her new job.

Not even seated yet, the socialist darling of the left is suggesting legislation that would give congressional members a housing allowance in excess of the freshman base pay of $174,000. And, the members vote themselves raises at will. *Congress is required by Article I, Section 6, of the Constitution to determine its own pay.

Some current members, known to sleep in their offices and bathe in the gym locker room (not the Potomac River), have suggested a housing allowance while in session amounting to $2,500 per month.

Returning to reason perhaps we, the American voters, should consider something along the lines of a government housing facility for our downtrodden elected leaders like the projects offered by H.U.D. There are numerous vacant government owned buildings in and about Washington D.C. that could easily be converted into dorms or apartments.

For those choosing this option, the accommodations might be paid for by deducting $1,500 – $2,500 per month ($18,000 – 30,000/yr) from the base we now pay them. Nancy would consider it just “crumbs”. Most of them can probably scrape by on the remaining measly $144,000 per year. A transportation allowance of $5.00 per round trip to and from the dorm and capitol could be an additional benefit for consideration.

Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s next proposal is probably for a congressional clothing allowance and meal per diem to go along with the housing allowance. After all, we must redistribute the wealth from those who worked hard to earn their bounty. Soon thereafter, I’m sure, she’ll and the others will consider working for the people who elected them instead of what they can do to benefit themselves.  Yeah, right!

Congressional staffers and interns live and commute under the same circumstances and seem to get by on their pay of $30,000 – $85,000 per year without such perks. And they do much, if not most, of the work for which the elected elite receive their salaries.

OVERWHELM THE SYSTEM 2018 STYLE

October 29, 2018

In 1966, Richard Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven, developed a strategy to overload the public Welfare system and precipitate a crisis leading to the replacement of the system with a national guaranteed income that, in their minds, would end poverty in the U.S. This became well known as “The Cloward and Piven Strategy”.

Need it be said that they were both professors indoctrinating the leaders of today with the ways of Communism. As teachers at the Columbia University School of Social Work, they were able to instill Utopian thoughts in the accepting minds of today’s Progressive/Socialist/Democrats.

Their ploy has since become the mainstream thought and platform of the current Democrat party. As president, Obama did his level best to over-regulate private business causing mass unemployment and need for government “safety net” programs. With the help of community organizers, President Obama increased the demand on the nation’s entitlement Welfare system and carried the concept of induced poverty to include WICS, section 8 housing subsidies, Obamaphones and encouraged many former workers to partake of disability payments through the Social Security fund.

One Democrat, Senator Ben Cardin, recently suggested that we welcome the hordes of impoverished Central and South Americans of the caravan into our country, thus, further straining our current resources. Beyond that, he also called for “investing” more U.S. income earners’ money by giving the thieves heading the pseudo-democratic socialist dictatorships of our neighbors to the south greater opportunity to continue the practices that harm the citizenry of those countries.

Today’s amplified and exaggerated version of the strategy promulgated by the pair of anarchists envelopes more than the monetary subsidies extended by federal agencies. It is also burdening education, health care and the court systems. It is straining the civil, criminal and federal courts by introducing otherwise illegal foreigners to the courts in addition to citizens and legal residents.

Currently, there is said to be a backlog in the immigration courts exceeding 700,000 cases. Add to that the human procession estimated at 7,000-10,000 headed north from Mexico’s southern border. Their intent (actually the intent of the multi-billionaire globalists funding the incursion) is to destroy our sovereignty; to break down the borders that define our country and create chaos and anarchy. Many, if not most, of the intruders will be awarded benefits paid for by you and your fellow citizens.

The socialists among our population and elected leaders are destined to use the inevitable “crisis” created to further their goals of remaking our country into one from which people, in just a few short years, will try to escape.

There is only a week left to mark your ballot for continued economic growth, prosperity and rule of law or the likeness of Venezuela.

THE WRAP UP SMEAR

October 16, 2018

For those people who believe Democrats, or want to believe Democrats, there is one who meets your desires. Sometimes even a malicious stumbling, bumbling Democrat like Nancy Pelosi unwittingly stutters their way to the truth.

From the Daily Wire on Oct 8, 2018 – In her own words, Pelosi described the ruthless and untruthful smearing of Republicans as a “common diversionary tactic”.

“It’s a diversionary tactic,” she starts. “It’s a self-fulfilling prophesy, you demonize and then — the ‘wrap-up smear.’ You wanna talk politics? We call it the ‘wrap-up smear.'”

“You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest,” Pelosi detailed, “and then you merchandise it. And then you (gesturing to the media) write it, and then they say, ‘See, it’s reported in the press that this, this, this, and this.’ So they have that validation that the press reported the smear, and then it’s called the ‘wrap-up smear.'”

“And now I’m going to merchandise the press’s report on the smear that we made,” she repeated. “It’s a tactic. And it’s self-evident.”

This is exactly what they did to Judge Kavanaugh. It is what they do at virtually every “rally” or “march” in which they participate. The progressives (read: anarchic socialists), paid by billionaires like Steyer and Soros through various organizations, sample assorted words and sayings to identify the most outlandish and yet effective chants. Those selected as best are etched into the memory banks of a few “leaders” who then direct the minions in repetition. The agreeing media then airs the crowd over and over again until they feel the average idiot believes what they hear.

Other ways that the loathsome left in office and in the media promulgate lies and discord is by repeating words and catch phrases that provoke contempt, anger and violence. You’ve heard them all. Here are just a few.

*Russia, Russia, Russia

*Ripping babies from the arms of mothers

*Black churches will burn

*Throwing granny over a cliff

*Millions will lose their health care

*Women will no longer have a choice

*It’s for the children-or the needy-or the elderly

*Assault rifles

Additionally, there are those in elected office and other professional politicians (primarily of the Democrat party) who subtly advocate or promote indignation and even violence. Cory Booker, Maxine Waters, Chuck Schumer and most recently our old friend Hillary (the loser) Clinton are among the celebrities rousing their crowds.

You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” according to Clinton. “That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

I read the above statement to say that unless the Democrats regain unfettered power in government et al, there will continue to be constant whining, crying and mobs throwing tantrums and creating chaos throughout the country. Give us back control or we’ll see to it that normalcy is never restored.

Adam Schiff recently promised “ruthless investigations” if Democrats take over the House in January and Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker once again.

Is it right to threaten chaos, violence and endless disruption and stagnation of government just because the American electorate chooses placid growth and prosperity? Is this really the party we want running our country?

PLEASE VOTE WISELY ON NOVEMBER 6!  VOTE TO BE GOVERNED OR VOTE TO BE RULED, THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

PROMOTING “TDS”

August 1, 2018

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a real and present mental health problem. TDS is now being treated by health care professionals under the name of Trump Anxiety Disorder because derangement is a negative term. The use of negative terms in today’s society is, in itself, enough to trigger highly emotional reactions that require professional mental health therapy.

It is a product of at least four decades of public indoctrination centers promoting liberalism. Fragilizing (coined term) society is a primary mission for the “institutions of education”. By distorting language terms to soften their effectiveness allows for exploitable ambiguity. For example: Steering youth first, then adults, from using terms such as boy/man and girl/woman to gender neutral terms like person homogenizes the individual. Removing a person’s individuality removes any incentive to excel or even succeed. Highest honor awards are perceived to demean all lesser colleagues and therefore every attendee must receive a trophy or certificate of participation without ranking.

The aggregation of youth held captive and brainwashed for three quarters of each year over a 12+ year time frame are those most affected by the psychological vexation. Social engineering to societal neutrality destroys personal incentive and self worth. Without self worth, adolescents are prone to extreme anger, suicide or sustained drug use to compensate for their lack of uniqueness.

This is contradictory to what our current president presents. His ideals include working hard, accomplishing, achieving and appreciating and respecting the outcomes. To younger generations, this is opposite of what they’ve been fed throughout their school years. They only know that they are equal and they deserve…without effort. They matriculated through their early years by showing up for class, at least by attending fairly regularly. Their testing, if any occurred, was graded not on correct answers or knowledge of the subject at hand, but on the student’s ability to embrace and regurgitate the personal viewpoints on the subject expressed by the teacher.

The aforementioned societal equality is why the X, Y (aka: Millennial) and Z (aka: Centennial) generations are so inclined toward socialism. They are used to having everything handed to them without putting forth any effort to achieve on their own. They believe (because they’ve been programmed to believe) that equality is a right. They cannot understand, because they cannot recognize through abstract thought process, that equality for all is truly subsistence for all. Further yet, there is a reluctance to accept that equality for all is a false and undeniably Utopian ideal.

Every societal structure has an elite governing body. With socialism and communism that elite body distributes and redistributes any wealth available among the recipients. That body of elites, due to human nature, will always take a bit more for themselves, leaving less for redistribution. Socialism is the elimination of any middle class, not all classism. Socialism, at it’s best, is the production of two very discordant classes.

The political bent of the majority of public school teachers and college professors and instructors is constantly projected into the malleable minds of those whom they are charged with educating. Where once the schools promoted “work hard and be all you can”, the new slogan might be “sloth in and be whatever you claim you are”. Additionally, what the kids of today get out of school is low self esteem and the ability to identify as a victim for any reason they deem. True education is a wayward by-product of the liberal mind molding process.

Given the upbringing of the ascendants to adulthood and those of recent adulthood there is little question why they consider President Trump a foreboding and threatening figure. He expects performance and excellence and he therefore threatens everything they have been led to believe about themselves, society and governing. He is extremely individual. No president has ever acted in such a non-presidential way. He is a leader, not a follower. He makes things happen rather than awaiting happenings then blaming others for inadequate outcomes or accepting unexpected consequences as within the realm of normal. He asks that we all participate in our lives and livelihoods. His very existence triggers the social fragility produced by progressives.

Because he was born before the liberal mania took firm hold, President Trump is considered a deviation from what has become the norm. He wants and expects adherence to laws that keep us safe and maintain social order. He treats others (individuals and countries) equally and fairly…perhaps heavy handed at times, but equally and he expects others to reciprocate. Going along to get along is not the way of a Commander in Chief who produces positive outcomes.

Because he is a leader, because he deviates from political protocol, he is upsetting a component of society that only knows a soft and gentle life. He is triggering a segment of society that cannot handle any adversity. There are members (almost a cult) within our culture so used to taking a pill or seeking professional coddling to allay their self induced fears and frustrations that they cannot even stand to hear the name Trump without physically assaulting someone, breaking something or setting something aflame that does not belong to them. And, they expect to do so without repercussion for they’ve been taught throughout their formative years that violent civil disobedience is acceptable when they feel they’ve been wronged or believe something negative might be in their future.

This is truly a derangement, but it is not President Trump’s fault. The progressives who have fragilized our children and grandchildren under authority of the public education system are to blame. They are the ones responsible for the suicides and violence and dissociative behavior of the current and past three generations. It is the ideologues in charge of teaching our children who are causing them to become deranged.

Yes, there is a Trump Derangement Syndrome. It is real. It is promoted by our education system and the media that seeks only negative and announces every nuanced or perceived pessimistic action performed or word spoken by an adversary. It is not just Trump, TDS or anxiety disorder, is now excited by any deviation from a progressive mindset.

FROM THE RIGHT AND FROM THE LEFT

June 26, 2018

Oh, how we mock thee. Let me count the ways. (Sorry Liz, the devil made me do it)

Today’s big story is IMMIGRATION. As with everything we hear and see on the news, there are two sides presented, one from the MSM and the other from a few right of center outlets. The truth finds itself somewhere in between the presentations offered. In seeking that truth, we must be aware that the meaning of the word journalist has been severely bastardized. Virtually every news reporting comes with a predetermined inclination to influence.

Let’s start with some definitions

Journal: a record, usually daily, of the proceedings and transactions

Journalist: a person who practices the occupation or profession of journalism

Journalism: the occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or of conducting any news organization as a business.

The media, be it print, cyber, radio or TV, tend to incorporate their bias on any subject, politics in particular. The cyber world is undoubtedly the most balanced, yet many social media interactions are edited and culled by operators disposed by a liberal mindset.

The “Main Stream Media” has the greatest influence on most people simply due to their dominance in the field of “journalism”. The left, or progressive (aka socialist) side of the political spectrum, unquestionably has the strongest hold on the profession; the loudest and most frequent voice, therefore the most influence on any story. They coerce opinions of their followers through repetition.

Facts no longer matter to today’s news reporters. What is conveyed to the public is willfully distorted by the opinion of the writer, editor, newscaster, station or publication. Trying to find the truth of any important matter is as much fun as Congress passing a bill “to, ah, find out what is in it”.

By the time the truth is identified, the damage has been done and any apology or correction that might be offered is relegated to time cloaked obscurity. Any correction or retraction is overshadowed by a more current and attention demanding announcement.

On TV: The news and commentary stations constantly battle one another presenting their interpretation of the day’s or week’s happenings. In doing so, often they will use clips from another or other stations’ airings as counterpoint to their own offerings of the truth in news. Then the counter point is mocked.

What I have found is that when the major broadcast and cable stations do this they almost always use FOX as the one to present. The clips from FOX News may include hosts and guests making statements about a particular subject. The opinions often vary little overall but do have a variety of personal interpretations. FOX uses clips primarily from CNN and MSNBC but often includes some from ABC, NBC and CBS as well as audio from NPR. A montage from this collective, however, sounds like a variety of voices reading the same script.

There are key words and phrases used in each clip from the MSM collective. One of the latest is, “…ripped from the arms of his/her breast feeding mother…”.

Wow, what an emotion compelling phrase. It provokes disgust and induces hatred toward law enforcement and this administration. Powerful and opinionated statements such as this do not convey the truth about mass illegal entry at our southern border.

Iterations of this phrase have been uttered multiple times over the past two or three weeks on virtually every major station by either pundits or anchors. The children, in each case are “ripped from the arms”; not taken, not separated, not lifted, not removed. They are “ripped from…”. It’s like one script has been handed to each leftest station and they are told not to vary from the script.

This is exactly why I choose to watch and listen to both sides of any political discussion. I know that the truth is somewhere between the hatred of the left and the apologies of the right. With the last administration, it was the disdain of the right for dictatorial policies and the defenders on the left for a country on the path to autocratic socialism. America should be somewhere between the extremes.

If more people would pay attention to other than just what feeds their own beliefs or emotions, I believe there would be a lot more calm and understanding. And if those people with direct access to events would accurately portray them to the public, it would go a long way toward easing the acrimony they now advance.

This democratic republic experiment deserves an opportunity to survive. History shows us that other forms of governance do nothing more than enslave the mass population while those at the top thrive.
