WE NEED INFORMATION TO DRAW CONCLUSIONS

April 5, 2017

One of the biggest mistakes most people make is drawing information from only one source or sources of only one dimension. In order to arrive at a conclusion (a reasoned decision based on facts and evidence), a person has to avail themselves to all facts and information possible. The conclusion must be drawn without regard for personal preferences or desired outcome.

The reason, as I see it, for the extreme divisiveness between our political viewpoints at present is that most people are predetermined to accept a particular result. They (we), refuse to consider evidence contrary to the desired conclusion. Neutral thinking is no longer taught, learned or accepted.

We, of the general public, must rely on the sincerity of the source(s) from which we derive our conclusions. Unfortunately, very few of those origins are unbiased. The information our government affords the public always has a slant or bias. Politicians believe they are responsible for determining how we must feel and think. To remain in office, it is necessary for them to influence how we think.

We all have dispositions toward particular radio and TV stations. We tend to read books, newspapers and magazines that generally agree with our viewpoints. We gravitate to information that reinforces and builds upon what we inherently know or believe.

Introducing nonconforming data into preferential thought frustrates the mind, thus it is disregarded. When such happens, when we discard facts or evidence because it conflicts with a foregone conclusion, we diminish our capacity for reason. We subject ourselves to invalid consequence due to illegitimate presumptions.

Our political system, meant to be adversarial, has become viciously antagonistic. Democrats refuse to work with Republicans because they are not Democrats. Republicans likewise block proposals offered by Democrats. Compromise to modern politicians is ‘you agree with me or else’! Correspondingly, the public takes similar positions. President Trump is not protested for what he has done politically. He is disavowed and derided because he is not a Democrat.

The lack of civil political discourse by those in office as well as the citizens who elect them is exactly why we had to endure the past eight years. It is the reason for the polar change to a character and style of complete opposite.

There is no middle ground in politics today because we refuse to listen and accept that which is different from what we ‘inherently’ know or want to be true. There is no compromise or concession. We have enacted rule by edict and opposition by anger over the past decade. The future does not look pretty.

The average life expectancy of a democracy is 200 years. We have exceeded that mark. We need to look at what we’re doing to our country and our individual lives. We must look at, see and consider both sides within the political arena before moving forward. As a society, we’re not making good decisions.

The governments of Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil and China only serve those in charge. Are your decisions derived from full information?

ARE LIBERALS ANGRY BECAUSE THEY’RE LIBERAL?

March 27, 2017

It’s hard to tell which came first, the anger or the self immersion in a flawed doctrine. In either case, we find that people with liberal tendencies are easily angered to the point of violence. No, this is not an exclusive or definitive statement. And yes, I’m sure any liberal minded person can find anecdotal evidence showing that some conservatives also get mad. In general, however, it is the liberals who find themselves unable to verbally justify their feelings and anger themselves with the lack of such ability. They also lean toward physical expression, aka violence, when they don’t get their way. Note the demonstrations riots in Ferguson, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Charlotte and many other bastions of liberalism. Be aware of the anti-Trump rallies vs. Tea Party gatherings.

Another corollary is the less education and/or lower intellect an individual has the greater the tendency toward liberalism. Also, less education breeds a propensity toward violence to resolve conflicts. (redundancy noted) The latter subset tends to gather in cliques (sometimes called clubs) to defend themselves against the world at large. For the outsiders, the nomenclature is gangs.

Removed from the formula are people with IQs of less than 65 for whom learning ability is limited. These people tend to be the happiest because they are not involved, unaware and generally under regular, if not constant, care. This societal division needs only to have basic life necessities and some minor wants met. When thus satisfied, there is a state of euphoria. However, tantrums and rampage are also their alternatives when wants are not satisfied.

Democrats want to limit education choice to indoctrination centers public institutions where learning is directed from history to “new history” and reading assignments are restricted to works that promote liberal, Marxist and socialist ideologies. It is difficult if not impossible to instill education into the minds of despondent care-for-naughts. Thus, our public schools teach to the level of the less capable rather than asking them to work and apply innate abilities or potential to the maximum. Doing this enables those without will or drive to be “equal” to those who do want to learn. To be liked and wanted, they bend towards the warmth of the collective. The concept holds back the best of our youth while catering to or sanctioning behavior of all else.

Here is where the anger begins. Complacency in the classroom translates directly to low work ethic and to boredom. The acceptance of mediocrity begets low will and drive. Desire for betterment is a human nature and cannot be subdued. Desire without drive while expecting equality or supremacy without effort breeds anger. That anger translates into crowd or gang mentality and associated violence ensues.

The government under-educated but indoctrinated youth of today expect “a living wage” without the skills, knowledge or work ethic that is required for survival. Their upbringing by government sponsored authority figures (teachers) supposes upward mobility simply for being.

Flipping burgers, product production and assembly lines are rote performance and people are easily and economically replaced by robotics. Today’s technology leaves the lesser educated unqualified and at a significant and growing disadvantage. Having slacked their way through the education system from kindergarten to high school graduation, the ill prepared now want a free ride through the college system. They expect it, they believe they merit it FREE because of all that has been given them to that point.

Studies show that fully 1/3 of the current junior college freshmen students require remedial classes in the basics they should not have passed in high school. To carry this a step further, teachers in the New York public education system may not be required to pass a 12th grade reading test. The literacy test raised alarms because just 46 percent of Hispanic test takers and 41 percent of black test takers passed it on the first try, compared with 64 percent of white candidates. While a federal judge ruled in 2015 that the test was not discriminatory, faculty members say a test that screens out so many minorities is problematic.

When only 64% of those charged with increasing the knowledge of students, be they white European, Hispanic, Asian or Arabic can pass a test designed for high school seniors, it seems to me that we need better educated teachers.

“Having a white workforce really doesn’t match our student body anymore,” offered a Pace University professor of education. When 36% of the college educated white teachers do not have the literacy skills expected of a high school senior, but they show best of class, it is racial discrimination. So here we have a professor of education who advocates for lower standards of education for the very authorities to whom we entrust our children. The justification? Race. Race is the wild card for anything a liberal cannot defend with reason.

One has to wonder about the academic score for this “professor of education”.

So, next time you encounter an person of undue anger and hostility, please remember he or she is probably a product of limited education and or mental capacity – no matter what degree that person flaunts.

As the late Paul Harvey might say, “NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY”.

THE ACA LANDMINE: THE TRIPWIRES AND TRIGGERS BUILT INTO IT

March 10, 2017

Many inside and outside of government accuse the former president, Obama, of laying landmines for future administrations in order to fulfill his quest for a more perfect global society; Utopia. The undercurrent of this speculative theory surfaced as a tidal wave with the November, 2016 election when it was realized that Democrats would no longer be able to act unconstitutionally from the power position of the Oval Office. Almost immediately, Obama began executing executive orders and sending regulation requests to create havoc and disorganization as they are implemented.  Some of the directives are considered mini-timebombs to temporarily interrupt governing at irregular intervals and others are far more devastating.

Excavation for the planting of explosives actually began with the highly partisan progressive Democrat controlled House and Senate. The 111th congress was absolutely giddy with the power accessed by deceiving voters and conferred by the presiding Despot-in-Ministry. They began shoveling deep into the Marxist movement of America from their first seating. It was as if they had been given free reign by the ignorant and unsuspecting masses. Regulations rattled from every office of the White House and every agency and department of the federal government.

Republicans, even those who wanted to, had no way of stopping them. If there was a balk to a bill or dissent on any legislation, the questioning individuals were labeled racist, a tag that is virtually impossible to remove. The Marxists simply labeled them, shelved them and continued their journey down the path of national destruction.

One of the largest and most highly explosive land mines is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) aka Obamacare. Over the past seven years, it has proven to offer little Patient Protection, is not Affordable for those who most need it and actually offers less Care than was available prior to its implementation. It Acts as a wealth distribution program.

Designed not to keep the American population well, it was meant to move money from the wealthy and the workers through the government to the poor. In doing so, the workers join the poor and socialism wins. To assure its continued capitalist society disintegration, health care was immediately deemed a “human right”. Because it is impossible to dismantle a government program once identified as a human right, the pressure plate was depressed with the passage of the PPACA. This is what we had to find out after the giant gavel wielding Pelosi and her happy band of Marxists passed the bill that President Obama signed into law on March 23, 2010.

Since that time, there have been unconstitutional changes made allowing this new economic and health wound to grow and fester as the masses acclimate to the costly but only semi-effective antibiotics. Now dependent on the drugs of the social engineering program, it is impossible to effect a quick rehab. The “racist” opposing party was covered in dust. They are still swiping at shoulders and sleeves unable to recognize in the cloud that they can now act as the legislators for whom we voted.

The only way to fix Obamacare is to release the pressure plate. Let it blow. There are simply too many sensitive triggers strategically placed to try dismantle it and find all the primers. Toying with it will only allow the deeply hidden destructive capabilities placed within to explode, individually, creating casualty after casualty.

Yes, some people will be hurt. Most of them are now suffering with tattered bandages on pus filled wounds. They are the people who cannot afford to replace the dressing.  A new and different program with a vision and goal of actual health and health maintenance might provide for cleaning the infection and allow a scab to form as healing begins.

Before any dismantling and rewriting begins, it must be recognized that health care, like economic welfare, is not a “human right”. It is a societal courtesy. It is an earned merit. But, it is not a right! People who feel entitled are simply wrong.  Doctors and other health care professionals are only obligated to care for the injured or infirm by oath; a personal pledge…not government mandate.

A few intelligent heads can remedy the health care system. A small committee comprised of doctors, hospital administrators and insurance professionals  can do a far better job than elected officials without the required knowledge.  They must be mindful that cries from every corner of the nation cannot be appeased.  Trying to do so will injure us all.

* Note to congress.  Clear the ground and take shelter. Blow it!  Stay out of the toxic wind and give us a heads up so we can too. Pick up any pieces that fit together flawlessly and remold anything that has been lost. No malignancies. It must have a completely different look and most of all it must be without detonation capability in 2, 4 or 20 years from now.  Question:  Why does health care, if that’s what we’re really talking about, fall under the jurisdiction of the IRS instead of HHS?

Now, let’s talk about health care for veterans.  They deserve a functioning health care system.  They were guaranteed it on enlistment or commission and they most certainly earned it.

THE PENDULUM SWING-IS IT A GOOD THING?

March 6, 2017

Over the past few decades we (the attentive few) have seen our Executive branch take on more and more power and authority. The executive branch is now just shy of dictatorial. The body congress is intimidated, highly partisan and sheepishly resigned. Our courts are directing legislation.

The constitution doesn’t allow for it, congress isn’t granting it and the courts are capitulating. It’s happening before our eyes as we sleep and while we’re blindly awake. The news we receive, the little real news and the fake news, feeds us only what those at the top want us to hear.

Politicians have lied to their constituents since time immemorial. It’s nothing new. However, within my short span of time and awareness, it has become most blatant. It is done without regard for your intelligence and without concern for being called on it. “I can assure you that the United States has no intention of using force to overthrow the Castro regime.”…“I am not a crook”…“Read my lips”…“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.”…“Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised”…“The misconceptions are that we are conducting spying operations on US citizens, which is of course not the fact. That is absolutely not what we do.”… “I have no recollection of that”…“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”… and of course, “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period”.

The overlapping, redundant and duplicitous alphabet agencies (NSA, CIA, FBI, OIC, NSC and even the IRS) within the government now control our elected and appointed officials. Be it by intimidation extortion or bribery, the spooks are in charge. They also hold a very strong influence over the run-of-the-mill mid level bureaucrats with citizens who step out of their overlord defined box immediately become subject to enhanced repercussion. <link>

Our new president is in feud with the miscreants of all the above named agencies and departments. He agrees with many of us who believe the inner cabal has either been fraudulently awarded, or usurped more supremacy than authorized by the citizens. President Trump claims commitment to reining that jurisdiction and restoring the federal government to its rightful limits of privilege and dominance.

Doing so, might be the world’s greatest challenge because only he and his relatively small team are taking on an extensive and deep seated resistance. It’s David fighting a Goliath force of three actual factions.

First are those who desire to keep their seats of assumed authority and clout. Second are the ignorant lemmings who do not recognize from whom they receive their marching orders or even understand what they mindlessly “protest”.

This layer is under constant bombardment and encouragement of the broadcast, print and peer social media. They are organized by charismatic figures with a devious agenda. It’s a cultist engagement. The goals of the leaders are not shared with the devotees. The worshipers will only find out the last batch of Kool-Aid is spiked with poison when cocktail time is announced. Society as we know it will be doomed by the heedless group-think of the devotees if we allow them to reach that hour.

So then we have to question; Is a rapid and forceful pendulum swing the best thing for the country and the world at this time? Will quickly righting the course of the country from its errant direction of the recent eight years upset the tenuous balance of the nation and the world? Or, will a slower, more methodical natural change keep the ship from capsizing as we come about?

PUBLIC EDUCATION OR GLOBALIST INCUBATION CENTERS

January 31, 2017

Over the last few decades, the state-run indoctrination centers have seemingly lost all focus on education. Instead, they concentrate on social issues.  Gender identity, climate variance and diversity are prominent.

However, as core academic scores drop the government continues to take over your rights and usurps the authority for raising your children. Oh, you still remain the responsible party when something goes wrong. They just want complete jurisdiction over instilling a radical leftist viewpoint into the malleable minds of your offspring. They foster incubation facilities for social collectivism that demand governmental authority over child raising. <link>

Thanks to progressives pushing their communal association plans, kids of the U.S. today have less chance of success than ever before. The American Dream is now ascension to mediocrity.

According to a 2012 National Center for Education Statistics report (the most recent found), math scores for the U.S. dropped from 25th to 31st among developed nations since 2009; from 20th to 24th in science; and from 11th to 21st in reading. We now rank #1 in gender diversity education, though.

Even Portugal (a socialist dominated political and economic system), expects more parental participation. Recently, one school principal posted the following in the hallways.

Dear parents

  • We would like to remind you that magic words such as hello, please, you’re welcome, I’m sorry, and thank you, all begin to be learned at home.
  • It’s also at home that children learn to be honest, to be on time, diligent, show friends their sympathy, as well as show utmost respect for their elders and all teachers.
  • Home is where they learn to be clean, not talk with their mouths full, and how/where to properly dispose of garbage.
  • Home is also where they learn to be organized, to take good care of their belongings, and that it’s not ok to touch others.
  • Here at school, on the other hand, we teach language, math, history, geography, physics, sciences, and physical education. We only reinforce the education that children receive at home from their parents.

I guess they’ve learned that some things are better handled at home.  Doing away with the over-lording and abysmal failure known as the Department of Education is a first step.  Returning supervision of education to local districts with direct input from parents might be a second step.  Competition in the form of school choice could also help those students who want to learn.

As with so many things, decentralizing massive bureaucratic authorities in favor of localized responsibility and control is the proper direction to making America great again.
