The majority of Morning Rant readers have been impacted by the inflation purposefully set upon us by this administration. President Obama did basically the same thing. Under his administration, gas prices grew rapidly to well over $4.00/gal in many parts of the country and remained there for much of his eight year domain. The cause was the cancellation of many leases and drilling permits throughout the country, off the coasts and Gulf of Mexico. Very few new permits were granted though the leases were already signed and legally secured. He drove many individuals and small businesses into poverty with his fiscal policies, from which only a relatively small portion recovered, earning him the name of the Welfare King.
The current administration (aka: Obama’s third term) is again doing everything possible to bankrupt the common citizens of this country. The middle class is now paying billions of dollars to a country known to be corrupt because another dictatorship has invaded their sovereign corruption. We have bailed out banks that paid their “C” level execs tens of millions of dollars in bonuses for mismanaging investments. Understand, we (you and I) are actually the ones who reimbursed the clients and paid the execs’ bonuses for their incompetence. Our government used money taken from our earnings to refund and reward the malfeasance.
And just why did the banks go belly-up? An undisciplined government and their despotic regulations caused the upheaval. To cover the funds written against an already overdrawn bank account, bureaucrats simply printed more fiat currency. That move threw inflation out of proportion against a waning economy. Government continues to grow and spend as if there is an unending supply of ink and paper and without regard for the next and future generations.
But wait, there’s more! Now the unbridled Marxists are requiring banks, mortgage companies, credit card financiers and other lenders, under the fair lending laws, to allow “reasonable” credit accounts to foreigners in our country. For the most part, we have little idea who they really are. Many, if not most, arrived at our borders without valid identification. Some offered fraudulent paperwork to unsuspecting border agents. They were granted I.D. cards, driver licenses, etc. in whatever name, age and nation of origin they chose to claim. Once armed with “proper” I.D. they avail themselves to stipends, medical care, food, lodging and clothing at the expense of the ever dwindling population of taxpayers.
So, while you and I have to prove our worthiness, through lengthy payment history in order to borrow money, they (those who have entered the country, some for nefarious purposes, using stolen or false identity) are treated as divine beings.
But wait, there’s more! According to multiple recent articles, a new Marxist program specifically tailored to fit the needs of the “asylum seekers” is in the works. The “Release and Reporting Management” (RRM) is expected to cost billions. The program includes funding for such things as: legal assistance, psycho-social services, therapeutic services, medical services, food and clothing banks, housing, public transportation information, parental information, education information, and repatriation and reintegration services.
Many American citizens are living paycheck-to-paycheck or not even making ends meet. They’re buying groceries and gasoline on credit cards then making small payments against an ever-growing balance. This is not the time to be paying the expenses of people, granted refuge or asylum under false pretenses, despite their reception by an unconcerned government.
An economy where the needs of service men and women are overlooked as they struggle to pay bills; that is driving home values down and mortgage rates up; new and used car costs and financing to escalate, is not the one under which we should underwrite the Utopian Marxist ideals of our current government.
