THE FIRST 100 DAYS

Unlike the news crews that have been touting the glory and holiness of the first hundred days for the last two weeks, I’ve chosen to wait until the full period ended. Yesterday marked that period. And the first 100 days of this administration has been quite a ride. We have seen unprecedented spending and heard promises of stable or lower taxes for the masses. It has been said that if you earn over $250,000 per year you are considered wealthy and should willingly contribute a greater portion of those earnings to the government.  It is your patriotic duty!

So, here’s the run down from my perspective.

TAXES – For those people earning less than $250,000 per year congratulations on your tax cut.  I can only assume that just people who earn over $250,000 per year smoke, because almost immediately tobacco taxes were increased by about seventy cents a pack or $7.00 a carton.  As you can see, the average working person who also smokes will be using their extra $10.00 per week re-stimulating the government with every puff.

And only those earning over $250,000 per year eat, drink, drive, read, go to movies, use telephones, watch television, use electricity, natural gas or do anything other than gather nuts and berries while living in a cave heated by a wood fire, because taxes have gone up on all those things.  Even living in a cave will soon have increased costs as taxes are levied against the carbon produced by burning wood.  Congratulations to all on your wealth!

Oh yeah, your income taxes won’t be going up either, it’ll just seem like it when the tax cuts are rolled back to pre-Bush levels.  Not an increase, just a sun-setting of the codes.  It’s all Bush’s fault.

CHANGE – The American people have elected one of the most charismatic and articulate (as long as the teleprompter is working correctly) presidents ever.   He has been successful in bringing all Democrats together to back his plans, and he has willingly signed bills for Congress defying his own campaign promises in return.

He promised change, and we got it.  Sweeping change has been his forte.  Anything the previous administration did that has not been reversed is subject to reversal.  Right or wrong, if it was begun, signed, completed or considered in the past eight years it requires review and 180 degree correction.  It seems to be the obsessed goal of this president to eliminate all traces of his predecessor.

He wanted to eliminate racism from our society yet if there is a comment made that is contrary or even somewhat different from that of Obama the entity voicing it is labeled racist.  If he did not personally bring it to public attention, his disciple-like followers would.  If the skin colors of he and George W. Bush were reversed…well you get the picture.  There would be riots in every major city.

The change does not have to be right or good either, as long as it is done rapidly.  Correct or reasoned change can always come later.  This administration believes that if you call it a crisis, any spending action is immediately justified.

Many of the changes he has made were made with the same people who have been around Washington D.C. for a very long time.  During his campaign he said that John McCain would hold a staff meeting with the ‘old boy network’ because McCain had been in Washington for over 26 years.  He then chose Joe Biden, who was Senator when John McCain was still a prisoner of war, as his running mate.

TRANSPARENCY – Obama stated during his campaign that there would be no room in his administration for lobbyists.  He immediately convened the largest cadre of lobbyists ever assembled and gave them cabinet offices. The most transparent administration ever has had more closed door meetings and back door moves than any previous.

In less than the full 100 days, he has broken virtually every promise, re-employed Washington insiders, forgiven and hired income tax evaders (even in positions of overseeing and enforcing tax law) and appointed or hired former lobbyists and ‘C’ level executives from failed or failing companies who were big contributors to his campaigns.  Of course, we cannot leave out those who have harbored and employed illegal aliens.

This president has embarrassed and alienated our closest allies and comforted our greatest enemies.  He has reduced funding for our missile defense system at a time when actively aggressive and hostile nations are building and launching intercontinental ballistic missiles.  He says that he is actively seeking energy independence while blocking access our natural resources.

FISCAL DISCIPLINE – He promised to restore fiscal discipline in Washington: “to end wasteful government spending”.  Since taking office just 100 days ago, he has spent or obligated tens of trillions of dollars that the country does not have.  He has given new meaning to the term of inter-generational debt.

Since gaining office, he has shown personal fiscal discipline and spending restraint by hosting regular concerts and parties on Wednesday evenings for himself and staff members. The concerts cost the taxpayers $30K-$100K each, but cost him nothing other than the time to attend them. Even Friday night pizza (complete with chef) has to be flown in at a cost of over ten thousands of dollars. Thank you America for being such a good host to the elite.

HOMELAND SECURITY – He is making our county safer by prohibiting the Border Patrol from detaining illegal aliens and ICE from conducting raids on businesses hiring them.  He has declassified and released information about the interrogation techniques used against enemy combatants.  That information can only be of value to terrorists and others who want to do us harm for training purposes.   Now they know what to expect if they miss out on their 72 virgins and get caught.

He even tried to bill private insurance companies for combat related injuries to our returning soldiers with the V.A. acting as supplemental insurance.  His Secretary of Homeland Security, Ms. ‘No borders or boundries’ Napolitano recently accused returning combat veterans of being potential right wing extremists that should be closely watched.  Let the terrorists and gangsters come in across the southern border, but watch out for the patriots, they could be trouble!

DIRECT ACTION – Obama has signed more Executive Orders in his first hundred days than some presidents of the past have done in eight years.  He has taken command, as a commander should.  He has, at the same time, bypassed any Congressional checks and balances as any tyrant would.

ECONOMIC STIMULUS – He has authorized the financial bailout of the corporations owned and operated by his major contributors at the expense of the rest of us.  He has given our money to banks, auto manufacturers, insurance companies and mortgage lenders only to then have them give multi-million dollar bonuses and lavish vacations to the ‘C’ level executives before filing bankruptcy papers.

All the while open market and staple jobs continue to be erased, medium and small companies fold, families lose their homes, retirement funds are diminished to the point where many retirees are forced to tweak their resumes, unemployment and welfare roles rise; and he claims to be stimulating the economy.

He is working feverishly on granting Amnesty to law-breakers and even offering them Social Security benefits when they reach 65 even if there has not been one dime contributed from their earnings on their behalf.  Oh, what a nice guy!

CREDIBILITY – At one hundred days, Obama is still fighting the release of documents that would clarify and identify his authorization, as prescribed by the Constitution, to assume and remain in the office of President; to carry out the duties and responsibilities thereof.  At this point he has spent untold millions of dollars avoiding that release.  Now that’s honesty and transparency.

Keep listening to his words (as long as the teleprompter is plugged in) just don’t pay attention to what he’s doing.  Enjoy your cave until the government agents come to collect the carbon tax.

BIOLOGICAL WARFARE?

There is a serious virus rapidly growing and infecting the population of Mexico. Cases are being recognized along our Border States and other areas of our nation where there are large concentrations of people who regularly visit Mexico or who have contact with others who have recently entered the U.S. from Mexico. Our government refuses to publicly acknowledge that the epidemic (now considered a pandemic) originated in Mexico and that there is a greater than normal threat to Americans from our neighbors to the South.

The World Health Organization has raised the threat level to 4 because of the virus. As of this writing there are over 150 confirmed deaths related to the Swine flu, yet the Department of Homeland Security is doing nothing to stem the tide of illegal aliens racing across the border from Mexico.

This deadly virus comes at a time when Obama is doing his best to override the will of the American people and grant amnesty to illegal aliens. That, in and of itself, may well be the reason for the lack of action regarding the increased numbers of people trying to flee Mexico and possible death, some of which may be infected. There is no concern for Americans’ health. Mexico is closing schools until the epidemic is under control. U.S. public schools continue to under educate both our children and Mexican National children in the same classrooms throughout the border towns and cities in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Our government continues to allow the children to cross the border daily to attend school at our expense.

Publicly recognizing that the Swine flu is stemming from Mexico would be detrimental to Obama and his plans to grant Amnesty to illegal aliens. It could also harm his potential for re-election and do further damage to the retention of Congressional Democrats in the 2010 election.

European nations are cautioning their citizens not to travel to Mexico or the U.S. unless it is absolutely essential. Japan and South Korea are using thermal scanning of airline passengers returning from Mexico to find above normal body temperatures. Those with higher than normal temperatures are being temporarily quarantined for their benefit and the safety of others. New Zealand has found symptoms in two students and a parent returning from a class trip to Mexico.

I’m sure I’m not the only one on this continent who sees a problem here that could be deadly for us. Europe, Japan and New Zealand are not adjacent to Mexico. None of them have Mexican Nationals breaking into their countries. And certainly not by the hundreds daily. They are concerned for the health and safety of their citizens.

This might also be a way of expediting the need for government run national health care. Rahm Emanuel has probably already said that this crisis cannot be wasted. It is an opening to express the urgent need for national health care. As our citizens become ill, they will need access to emergency care. Some may not be prepared for the unplanned expense and be put into financial hardship paying for the services.

Janet Napolitano is rigidly against enforcing illegal immigration, closing the border or even doing thermal scanning of people entering our country from the highly infected Mexico. As quoted from “The Hill”, “We’re already doing passive surveillance at the border,” Napolitano said. “You would close the border if you thought you could contain the spread of disease, but the disease already is in a number of states within the United States.”

Excuse me Janet, but have you heard the term ‘QUARANTINE’? Quarantine is the restriction of ingress and egress of an infected area for the safety of others and to restrict the spread of infectious disease.

She is, however, willing to give full and immediate access of the Tamiflu vaccine to our border states. Isn’t this kinda like sweeping up the mud tracked into the house by the pig that exited the pen through the open gate?

As a last thought, it could also be a planned biological attack on the United States by terrorists knowing that there is no political will to restrict the tide of illegal aliens. This scenario is not at all unlikely. They have already verbalized bio-terrorism is a possibility.

At any rate, there is a political fear of alienating Mexico by restricting or stopping illegal immigration at this time. (They may stop taking our good will aid money.) It apparently would mean that Congress and Obama would lose an opportunity to declare a new reason to borrow, spend and raise taxes to cover it.

All the while Obama is more interested in the scrolling speed of his teleprompter than he is the problem at hand.

SUICIDES RESUME

Does it seem to people other than myself that when we have Democrat presidents, the number of suicides and mysterious deaths in government seems to rise? I’m talking about those who know where the skeletons are buried. I’m talking about the skeletons themselves. I’m talking about people who have a whistle in their pocket and just may blow it, but blow their brains instead.

Am I being paranoid? I really don’t know. But when I think of Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Jon Walker, Jerry Parks, Barbara Wise, William Colby and a host of others, questions arise. I’m talking about the suicide of David Kellermann. Kellermann was with Freddie Mac for over 16 years and recently became the acting CFO. He knew where the skeletons were hidden. He may have pocketed a few bones himself. And now he’s gone. Kellermann won’t have anything to say about the inner workings of the pseudo-governmental agency.

The Tea Parties of last week are an indication that the American people have had enough of the governmental abuse of the citizenship. We, those of us who attended, are considered by this administration to be ‘Right Wing Extremists’. We are to be watched as subversives and potential threats to the stability of the government. All we did was express our rights of peaceful assembly, but for some reason we are now considered a greater threat to the U.S. and other citizens than the Castro brothers, Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Al Quida, Hamas and MS-13.

The government wants to take away our guns. Does that mean they want to reduce the possibility that we may commit suicide? I think not!

HOMELAND PARANOIA

Our new ‘left-of-center’ Secretary of Homeland Security has now put out an alert to keep a vigilant eye on what she has termed ‘Right Wing Extremists’.  Her description of Right Wing Extremists includes American citizens concerned with abortion, immigration, terrorists, public education; the current economic situation, taxes, insane spending, kickbacks, freedom and I guess people who like baseball, hot dogs, mom and apple pie.

Another group that receives special attention in her mind are the veterans returning from war zones, fresh with ideals about all the above and willing to fight and die for their country and its Constitution.   She calls them Right Wing Extremists that should be carefully watched; I call them Heroes and Patriots that should be praised and honored.

Basically, as I see it, the government has turned its major law enforcement concentration on the American people.   This body of elected idiots is willing to give amnesty to those who have broken into the country (friendly or not), educate them, house them, employ them and give them the rights of citizenship, with none of the responsibilities, all at the cost of the taxpaying citizens.   And we’re supposed to sit by complacently and accept it.

Today, April 15, is a special day for many Americans.   It’s the day that determines whether the various government entities have taken and held our earnings – interest free – for the past year and will allow us to have some of it back or take more of it.  This is TAX day.   According to Joe Biden and others in this administration, this is the day for citizens to do their patriotic duty and feed big government.

Why has Ms. Napolitano turned  against us?   Not that she was every really with those of us who believe in ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’.  Why is it that because some of us don’t agree with the unending spending and excess taxation that our government has recently thrust upon us, that we require special attention?   Are we really a physical threat to Obummer because we don’t agree with his socialist economic plan or his repressive view on our freedoms?   Are we really racists just because he’s black?   Are we racists if we are black, too?

We are being taxed on everything we earn, buy, do and use.   In every case we are paying taxes on taxes after paying taxes so that our ‘governing’ bodies can have money to spend as they choose.   Is it wrong to raise a question?  Doesn’t our Bill of Rights allow us to do just that?

Please excuse me while you satisfy these questions in your own mind.   This tax paying combat vet has to attend some Tea Parties before meeting with the Minute Men.   Today is the day I’ve chosen to seriously look into protecting you and myself against the factions on both ‘Left’ sides that want to do away with our wealth, culture and freedoms.

TAXES FOR YOU, ENTERTAINMENT FOR ME

How much more insolent credit card spending is the American public willing to take before saying, “Hey, show me your I.D.?”

The latest, or at least the latest of which I’m currently aware, is the pizza party. There was no 30-minute delivery guaranty so the tab had to be paid. I’m talking of course about Obama using my credit card (don’t laugh…you’re a co-signer) to have pizza delivered over 800 miles from St. Louis. To assure that it would be fresh, he had the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings personally brought into the White House by his current favorite pizza chef. Fortunately, the White House already had a pizza oven. Otherwise we’d have bought and installed that, too.

He also has bands flown in to entertain him and the White House staff regularly on Wednesday nights at our expense. You don’t think he’s paying for all this out of his salary, do you? I suppose the good news is that he’s a liberal Democrat so there will be no wasting money on tips. They don’t believe in gratuities.

I realize that expenditures like this on our dime are nothing compared to the multiple trillions of dollars of our money he’s tossing into the air at donor parties. But if a few thousand dollars for a pizza party on Friday night following fifty or a hundred fifty thousand dollars for the concert on Wednesday means nothing to him, can you really think that there is any respect or concern behind the spending of hundreds of billions?

The attitude is “Eh, a million here, a billion there. No auditor will ever find it in the trillions I’m spending. And if one does, I’ll make sure no one hears about it.”

He’s taxing your employer out of business, so you lose your job. He’s taxing you so heavily that you don’t feel it’s worth it to find another. Then there’s the extra tax on everything you buy with the money the government gives you because you’re “poor, unemployed or underemployed”. All so he can kick back, eat pizza and listen to his favorite music.

WAKE UP AMERICA! Open your eyes. This clown and his circus troupe on the hill are directing the roadies to set up the tents in the deep mud. That way we won’t bother getting to the big top and we won’t see the ‘All Amateur, All the Time’ performers being billed as knowledgeable professionals that are here for our benefit. We’ll just believe they know what they are doing.

America has, for over 200 years, been the stabilizing force in the world’s economy. Look where we’ve driven the world now.  We must vote a whole new slate in 2010 for “We the People” to gain some control again. That starts with our local elections all the way to the hill. We must start looking now for the right people.  They don’t have to be known politicians. In fact, it would probably be best if they weren’t.
